Surely will start vs Fulham?

Eddie is atleast seeing the signs considering he has been rested for a couple of games lately, but still not fully getting it with him starting both of our last games. Tonali is fucking elite, he has showed it for us and he has showed it for Milan. Most players would have dropped a few levels running 11-12km (including a lot of sprints) every match twice a week for a few months.

He was, but you also have to take into consideration that he had a lot more free time to scout for those players. I'm thinking we are maybe seeing the results of Eddie taking too much upon himself, stretching himself thin and falling flat. Might have to learn to take on a reduced role and be part of a system if he is ever going to be counted among the "elites".

Neither Gordon and Barnes can be played right, its better to have them rotate on the left to get most out of them. We have enough games. Get a new winger in during January. Not like Murphy is bringing a lot to the table either without his Isak connection. Was willing to back Elanga after a few hopeful signs, but it's getting to a place were we just can't wait for him to find his footing. Forest will maybe take him back for a decent discount?

My biggest gripe isn't the results, it's that for atleast half of our games for quite a while now we just look clueless and awful with no plan and rhytm to our game. Without intensity there is just so little there.

The irony is that if we finish outside top 7/8 and don't win any cups, we couldn't get anyone better than Eddie to turn us around next season(atleast with our current squad). Hoped we turned a corner after City and Everton, but sure looks like this will be a season to forget.

3W 1D 2L with Elanga starting in the PL. With one of the losses being against Liverpool where we played pretty good with 10 men. Lets not give up hope yet.

We need to win both to have any chance whatsover.
