Talking about lack of pre-season when we are in December is obviously bullshit. But I guess it's not hard to imagine that the whole saga had a huge impact on him mentally. Still think the main thing is him missing the service he recieved here. Last season with us the goals were only really the only thing he brought to the table. Half of those were either tap-ins from a perfectly placed pass by Murphy or penalties.

I know Liverpools defenders haven't exactly been solid either, but Salah not running back has also contributed to their defensive shambles. So when you include that and also how selfishly he plays, his G+A goes from being semi-decent to clearly not enough.

He would ofcourse be 100% right. Salah doesn't bring much to the team in his current state.

4 out of 5 midfielders were not what you would consider to be in our first XI atm. Our striker is probably a little fatigued after playing almost every single game, both for us and his national team. Other than the last 5 minutes there aren't really anything to complain about today. Sure we didn't score in open play, but it's not like we weren't close. Forgot to mention that we rested Hall aswell.

It will be great to have Wissa available going forward. Hasn't been working out with Woltemade lately, whatever the reason is. Being able to be rotated a bit certainly can't hurt.

Overall it was a decent performance with a heavily rotated side. Gordon and Elanga looking more up for it. No doubt that our mentality at the end of the match continues being shit, but thats like expected now 😅
