You thought we were decent against City? I remember Isak and Gordon scoring 2 wonder goals and City being totally dominant the rest of the match, but couldnt get the goals until De Bruyne came on. And that list of bad performances is just a little teaser of the full list(which I definitely would include City on).

Im not mad because we lost away to Chelsea away, Im mad because we play like shit. Like I said, its not the results. Injuries and fatigue of players is a partial explaination and maybe the trigger, but I think he handled the period very poorly not giving players time to recover. I think its foolish to dismiss the idea of giving youngsters oppurtunities when our main players clearly were totally knackered from 60-70mins every single game. And like you said he should have rotated players earlier on in the season, but also filled the squad up with players he could actually trust in situations like these and not let them just rot on the bench (Hall/Dummett/Richie) if he had plans to compete in all cups(which I think was a bad idea in our first CL campaign in decades). And the bad form has just continued after getting players back and with a less demanding schedule. So personally I think the main explaination is fatigue in Howe himself and him lacking confidence and conviction after we got fucked against PSG. I could see it in him that it really fucking hurt.

If we see signs of improvement sure(doesnt have to be top 4 level), but if the current performances continue into the next season.. What the owners say in public means nothing tbh.

Dont agree with his lack of trust in Eddie and that he can turn it around, but agree with pretty much everything else. I dont care about the results, its the performances the last 3 months now that really bugs me. Its not about the players because the same players looked much better in the past. They just look completely shot of confidence and have no idea what they are doing, which you cant blame any other than the manager for. The buck stops with him. I dont doubt Eddies qualities, but im also concerned that he works to hard and is prone to burn out. I really do believe/hope that he will turn it around next season after a summer break and a less hectic schedule being out of Europe.

Played far to much imo. Not going to say its because of that, but it wouldnt surprise me.

How did he get injured?

He won conferance and finished 6-7th in his 2 seasons there before being sacked this season after dissapointing results. A legend, but a finished legend.

I dont infact judge him toooo harshly on this season, therefore i am willing to give him the summer to turn things around. Certainly think questions could be asked about the way he has handled this season though. Bring on your punchy thoughts, this was boring.

We werent really that hamstrung by ffp is my point i guess, since he has been able to spend alot. He needs to show that we can be able to still produce good performances over time with what he got before we trust him with alot more money imo. Not saying that he shouldnt get anything, but restrained.

I understand that we have spent alot regardless of your irrelevant points. How Eddie has chosen to spend it is up to him. If he wanted to focus more on replacing squad players he could have.

Still want him to stay over the summer, but I dont think its a good idea to give him a lot to spend. He has had enough to build his team and we need to have some spending power in reserve incase we need to attract a new top manager here.

Never made any sense that it got triggered by appearances since he played 5 minutes here and there when the games were already over.

Not great, but an improvement for sure. If he keeps on with his excellent deliveries to Willock im going to start to think its not a coincident

Sure will try, but im a little impulsive so cant promise anything. And even though i have been critical of him lately i have made sure to mention that i still believe in him long term. So it pissed me of a little when you sort of implied that im not genuin about being happy for him. Because I really am.

Sure our two first goals were a little bit fortunate. But we still controlled the game and didnt let them get to many chances, while being dangerous on the counter ourselves. Easily deserved win.

Makes sense tbh. Its a win/win. Trippier can go to almost any team he wants for his last couple of years of professional football. Tino doesnt deserve to be a bench warmer and selling Trippier would help out alot in terms of FFP.
