I think it would be harsh bringing a DM in and just keeping him for those games as he’s clearly set out what he has in mind with what he’s got. We could have brought Thuram in or probably a list of players in his position, but Eddie obviously has a plan in how he wants us to play. To be honest I think Botman is that good with his passing and defence he kinda makes up for that DM role. Even Schar shows this at times. You can see though with having players like Tonali, Bruno and Joelinton there’s a lot of battling in there on top of that to get a he ball and create. Our number 8s are mainly Anderson and Willock. Gordon can of course fill this role too, but feel the first two are more suited. isak is a perfect 10…….I just wish we could field 12/13 players on the pitch

I thought out of the two with him and Sean, that he was the more grounded of the two, but like you say it appears the attention has went to his head. Barnes Wilson Murphy Anderson Bruno Tonali Burn Botman Schar Tripps Pope Would be nice to see Hall get an opportunity to come off the bench in this game I think. Wilson over Isak - just think he links up well with Barnes and deserves a shot at starting. Isak can always come on later in the game. Miggy might very well start, but Murphy has been impressive for me and again would be nice to see him being given an opportunity. Aye, difficult for Bruno to do much going forward with Isak heavily marked. There really wasn’t any options there bar Miggy up the left, but did what he could to make his presence known. Again, this is why I want Anderson to start as he just offers more in attack. Joelinton was never in the game. I don’t think it’s a bad thing if both Joelinton and Gordon lose their place to barnes and Anderson against Liverpool as they’re always an option off the bench, but those two going by todays game, seem to offer more in attack.

Barnes starts for me. Simply offers more in potentially scoring and with assists. Longstaff - you come on and show such lack-less effort lad you can fuck off. Take a look at Anderson and the drive he had. And on that note Anderson starts. Miggy did run his socks off and was one of very, very few who found space to create chances - does Murphy get a start against Liverpool. I’d be happy with either miggy or Murphy to be honest as they both can score and create chances. defensively we were solid today. Back to why those four were the best in the league defensively last season. Botman is outstanding. Schar a class act and both Burn and Trippier did a job too despite the criticism Burn gets from time to time. We have to be more clinical with our chances. That’s the bottom line for me as arguably despite being dominated, we could have walked away with a point at the very least.

Longstaff can fuck off. He’s moved around that pitch without any conviction. now that’s I’ve said that he better fucking score.
