  1. The other issue is that you've got a strip where the main feature is numerous unequal stripes with three very prominent bright blue and very even stripes running down the sleeves. It looks a mess on the short-sleeved version but the long-sleeve is even worse. Unless we have an absolute all-timer of a season it'll go down as the worst home kit we've ever had.
  2. I've got the No Score Draws one https://noscoredraws.com/collections/2026-world-cup-wall-chart
  3. When was the last time the plane spotting identified something before any solid links came out? I vaguely remember Isak being on the plane here when the story broke but I could be misremembering.
  4. Hearing that guys accent just makes me think of a video I saw on Reddit of a Swedish guy laughing at another Swedish guy doing an impression of a Norwegian so now I have to go & find it
  5. Pfft you're not even funny Heron Shmeron
  6. I asked chatGPT to calculate and it's given me £16.3m left and almost exactly +£50m on our books assuming a £70m sale and 15% of the profit going to Everton.
  7. It seems pretty obvious the Barca deal has been going on for weeks in the background. Possibly Bayern too. We'll find out soon enough, if this is going to be done by the weekend we should have at least one through the door within a matter of days.
  8. £70m for 23/24 Gordon is a good deal for Barca/Bayern if that's what they get. I think he'll do particularly well in Germany but he'd put up good numbers in Spain too. Will be interesting to see how he goes in the massive games. I don't want to lose him but we've had three and a half seasons, we're going to make a healthy profit, it looks like he's going abroad and it will help fund the squad refresh we desperately need. Plus it looks like getting sorted quickly.
  9. Yes I assume that's exactly what they're doing but it again suggests that we are being run as a business investment rather than a project to throw money at. For the record I'm absolutely fine with that, not least because it's the money-pit projects like LIV Golf that are getting canned.
  10. Well they aren't even pumping the maximum amount allowed into the club now never mind in some fantasy world where PSR/FFP doesn't exist. If we're struggling to find a front of shirt sponsor at an amount we like, there's nothing stopping PIF (or one of their companies) from stepping in. In fact, the rules on that were loosened quite recently.
  11. Is there any evidence that they would have gone stratospheric with the spending if the rules were never brought in? I mean, it's looking increasingly likely that we'll be releasing next years kit without a sponsor on it.
  12. It'll be the latter - I think it's commonplace for the writer of the article to not have written the headline.
  13. We might be in the rare territory here of a shirt needing a sponsor to try and de-shit it a bit
  14. Well, there's one way to make sure we don't keep getting gazumped by the big boys this summer and that's to only target players they wouldn't touch with a f**king bargepole
  15. He's thinking he has a decision to make. That Ornstein article was written as if the decision had been made that Howe was staying but that wasn't the case.
  16. It does need to be more than a one season thing imo. Even demoting them to the Championship, they'd be back to finishing top four the season after. It would need to be more than -10 though. If it was up to me it'd be -20 for 5+ seasons.
  17. When we've had the season we've had, you lose the right to say "Well, it's the last game of the season so...🤷🏻‍♂️"
  18. I've said ever since public opinion started to shift post-Barca/Derby that I was going to see how the final 7 games played out. Few injuries, plenty of time to train, fairly standard set of fixtures. I wanted to see some evidence that, at the very least, he can get a team playing fairly well once per week. I also hoped for some evidence of some variance in our patterns of play and anything to suggest that next season won't just be a case of "Try the same thing again with a few new players". We've got 7 points from those games and ended up where we started (12th). I haven't seen today's game but there doesn't seem to be much to be encouraged by and it seems that the most recent source of positivity is a good run of results over a year ago.
  19. "Hi Victor, are you familiar with Antonio Corderdo?" "Erm, no, doesn't ring a bell..." "Great, don't look him up" Edit - misread that he was 17yo but I'm going to roll with it anyway

Oh yeah He'll be primed to come on three minutes into the four added on 💪

I'm sure I read that this will almost certainly be the most NUFC players we've had at a world cup - four with England, Bruno, Wolt and Thiaw in the Germany squad, Elanga. Anyone else?
