  1. It’s an internet forum, not the match - anyone shouting abuse at him during a game wants shot with shite. Talking shite on here doesn’t make a blind bit of difference - it’s neither the match nor even social media.
  2. They actually get oddly jealous whenever anyone points out that the two sets of fans got on well when we played each other in 1994. My uncle was over there and reckons he’d never had a better piss-up.
  3. Miley is weak as piss, I wouldn’t want him near that holding midfield position until he bulks up a bit. And stops giving the ball away.
  4. They have the same coloured strips. And that’s it. A handful of the weirdos think that Bilbao took their strip design from them, despite then history indicating that it came from Southampton. And even if it did - so what?
  5. Just utter shite - injury or not. I’m not sure what the fuck Howe sees in him at this point.
  6. Unsurprised as he’s done the sum total of fuck all for some time - his links with adidas were much vaunted, but that wasn’t exactly the deal of the century, and a football club getting a kit manufacturer isn’t unusual. No significant commercial deals were made on his watch; Sela and Noon are PIF.
  7. He doesn’t look any better today than he did when we signed him - for all of the shite the lad comes out with, there’s been little actual improvement in his game.
  8. Yep, the man said himself back in May - but as per, we operated at a snail’s pace.
  9. Yeah that’s true, but it’s been a while since he did that for me. Arsenal in the LC SF is the last time he had a really good game against good opposition (he scored vs Barcelona but I don’t think he had a good game)
  10. I’d drop him for Bilbao. I don’t think his CL performances have anything to do with raising his game and far more to do with the poor opposition.
  11. So he’s alright when he’s playing against shite sides
  12. Speed was bloody awful for a long time - playing wide left didn’t help of course. He was never worth what we paid at the time - Dalglish was a clown with money.
  13. Agreed other than we’d get our money back on him - no-one is paying £55m for the lad atm
  14. I’ve never felt Joelinton is a particularly good midfielder, and have stated it on here in the past - I advocated for his sale in 2024 when he’d have been at peak value; as per usual, we’re likely to persist with him until he’s lot most of his value before selling him. I think he’s a top pro and all-round decent gadgie but that shouldn’t be enough to keep plugging him into the team. He’s probably the embodiment of a failure to evolve - we should’ve left him behind a while ago. Tonali and Bruno are clearly really good midfielders.
  15. They’d be as responsible as anyone for a poor season, so I wouldn’t worry about it at all.
  16. I’ve felt our midfield isn’t the sum of its parts for some time tbf. Not criticising their abilities as individuals, but we don’t dominate matches in the middle of the park.
  17. Not an individual player, but our midfield as a collective is overrated. We can’t retain the ball and we are ridiculously easy to play through.
  18. Jacob Murphy must be worth a mint
  19. Yes, as honest as ever - no bluster, bullshit or excuse-making. He was on-point
  20. Who wants him out? Shouldn’t even be a discussion. How shit we are away from home is perfectly valid though.
  21. Grumbling and complaining about everything post-match in the pub is a tradition which goes back significantly further than the internet - I think much of what is posted on here is very, very mild in comparison to the average post-match pub crack.
  22. We’re not employing high intensity play - we’ve been passive all season. We’re neither technically competent nor are we a gegenpressing monster. It’s just shite football we’re seeing at present, and the summer window has compounded the issue.
