Scariest part of our bench is 12 months ago that was a sizeable chunk of our starting XI -

Targett still has a dead leg, then. I think Fraser is out after a wedgie, too. -
How much did they want for Harrison again?

The worst thing about games vs Man City these days is all the way up to their first goal there is an evil little bastard at the back of my mind telling me we’ll nick something. The difference this season is that we can brush any of these reverses off, as there is a positive vibe around the club again. Hope is a good thing, even when it tricks your brain into thinking ‘today’s the day’ -

While a betting person would back Man City to win, there’s always a chance of a positive result for us. City won three-quarters of their league games last year, which is undeniably impressive - but of course that does mean even a side as superb as theirs drops points 1 in every 4 games. Maybe we’ll be that 1 in 4. HWTL -

I reckon we just let Howe get on with doing exactly what he’s been doing with Joelinton. Seems to have worked so far. I’m unconvinced the Twitter expert’s view that this is the ‘only way to get a result’ holds water. I’ll reckon the side and tactics Eddie selects are more liable to get a result. -
‘Take, for example, the popular Sunderland online message board that set up a forum on 24 June titled: NUFC/Sportswashing – Summer 2022. Since its creation, it has been filled with around 10,000 posts – in less than two months. That’s around 156 posts per day.’ Now there’s proper journalism for you - cite the number of comments on RTG … no further comment needed

I wouldn’t mind but prime JJ is still better than any midfielder they’ve ever seen in a R&W shirt - when they have a MF who is a stand-out in a team finishing 3rd in the PL give me a shout
-
You always know the manager is a good fit whenever you’re in a bar and people ‘shush’ everyone to hear him talk on telly. Howe, just like KK, Rafa and BR, is one of those managers

“Any prospective new owner or investor has to be committed to the culture, ethos and best traditions of the club. They have to be willing to invest to restore United to former glories, and that investment must be real new money spent on the playing side and the stadium.” Every word of that would be my starter for ten. A functioning Man Utd brings in £700m+ per season. They don’t need outside capital.
-
That statement is horrendously entitled. Surely Man Utd spending its own income on infrastructure and players would do the trick - not financing the leveraged buy-out? ‘New owner should be chucking money at the club’. Bunch of twats. Its sums up perfectly why so many hate them, and why their current mediocrity is mana from heaven
-
Yeah, agreed. I’m perfectly happy with the job those running the club have done

The whole ‘in peace’ crap shows that RTG think they’re the court of a powerful emperor, emperor Sunderland AFC, and they need flattering whenever an obsequious delegate from a client state shows up. Then they get to smile and clap as the delegate pours olive oil words into their ears about how powerful and glorious they are. The delegate is then deemed worthy of joining them for dinner, as they regale themselves in stories about how wonderful the emperor is. To me it just shows that they’re a bunch of hostile cunts, whose thin skin and paranoia means that grovelling is the only way you might escape without getting a kicking. Which is most probably just like the fucking dives they drown their sorrows in on a weekend - tetchy, bitter, angry yokels looking to chin any poor cunt who they don’t recognise who wanders in accidentally.
