The whole ‘in peace’ crap shows that RTG think they’re the court of a powerful emperor, emperor Sunderland AFC, and they need flattering whenever an obsequious delegate from a client state shows up. The delegate is then deemed worthy of joining them for dinner, as they regale themselves in stories about how wonderful the emperor is. To me it just shows that they’re a bunch of hostile cunts, whose thin skin and paranoia means that grovelling is the only way you might escape without getting a kicking.
