It's simple cash flow management to receive PL funds now, rather than later this year, most likely offering the ability to push a little more in January if needed. The funds are paid now to us, and when the PL money hits, it repays the loan taken out.

We are nowhere near the PSR limit, the recent loan taken out is to essentially bring forward the TV cash you get later on in the season, to have access to it earlier. It's common practice across a number of PL clubs, Spurs have done similar.
