I think Havertz is canny mind, better suited to a team like Arsenal than chucked into playing a lone striker role at Chelsea which is not what he is.
-
We were absolutely bullied against Luton because we had about 13 players to pick from, We had two full backs at centre half, a right winger at right back and a right back at left back.
-
James McLean is better than Diallo aswell as he has 100 Irish Caps.

There's only one clueless poster here and it's you.

https://www.squawka.com/en/comparison-matrix/?compare=10DwIroIG_FsKfghyS95N So Jeff Hendrick walks into our central midfield despite having the lowest passing accuracy, the lowest number of chances created (Bar Evans who literally does not pass the half way line), the lowest number of tackles made, the lowest number of interceptions made, lowest number of ball recoveries, in comparison, to every single one of our central midfielders over an average 90 minutes. The one redeeming feature of Hendrick is that he managed to score 4 in comparison to our central midfielders (Who sit as two holding midfielders in a 4231) - He does however average less goals and assists than Pritchard who sometimes played in a deeper role for us. Hendrick also registered one assist, in comparison to Neil with 4 and Pritchard with 7. Stop talking bollocks.

Your football knowledge is clearly dreadful.
-
What are you basing it on?
-
Na, that's not what I'm basing my logic on. I'm basing it on the fact that our central midfielders are better than Jeff Hendrick and that Jeff Hendrick therefore wouldn't get into our team.
-
Who are you having a dig at here, not sure what your point is directing that at me?
-
No he wouldn't walk into our team, at all.
-
Ah, So we are comparing O'Nien who played 95% of his games at centre half or right back, in a team that finished 6th, with Jeff Hendrick who was relegated with Reading and your stating Hendrick would get in our team

Do I really need to explain why I don't agree with football clubs being state run / owned?
-
I can only speak for myself really. The turnaround has been crackers at how quickly it's happened and hats off for last season really. I don't agree with the whole PIF / State Ownership and the same goes for other clubs involved but it is what it is now.

Nobody knows, seems an odd one as apparently we offered him a new deal which he stalled on, then he got injured so wanted us to honour the original deal and now we are holding off to see if he's going to recover properly. Apparently Stoke have offered him 40K a week. Were bringing in some striker from Benfica, awaiting a work permit, would think he'd be backup to Stewart if he stays.

Aye I think thats the model they are going for but you have to have a balance and know when to retain some of your better players otherwise it's virtually impossible to just keep selling to sides in higher leagues and hope you get promoted. If we lose Clarke this window I can't see how we give it a crack next year, It would be massive losing him and Diallo inside one window.
-
Only disappointing thing is that you inevitably lose all your good ones if they have a good season or two, Nature of the beast like.

Looks like it's around 1.5 million and incentivised up to 3M, Speakman and Dodds have been chasing him since they came through the door here. It looked nailed on the season before last as he was regularly at the SOL for games when Birmingham weren't playing, He was at Wembley aswell for the L1 final. Looks relatively risk free, Doubt we will make a loss on him even if it doesn't work out as everyone hopes. He's a big lad for 17 mind, looks like he's bigger than Jude from the Madrid conference photos. Much prefer this type of signing than what we would have done in previous years, bringing in someone like Jeff Hendrick on an 8 year contract. Positive moves so far, looks like three in early doors to replace three outgoings, need to get 3 or 4 in now to impact the first team straight away.
-
He's had a season ticket infront of me for about 15 years man.
-
Your calculations are well off though as you have calculated 48,000 buying tickets at £45.00 and 48,000 buying them at £10.00 when in reality there will have been 20,000+ plus season tickets each season, There was on year I think were it dipped to 17,000 but even still that completely changes the deficit you have mentioned. It will have been closer to 10-15M by not selling out each week. Fans filling the stadium with full price tickets had very little bearing on his investment, You can also argue that if we built the club properly the fans would have filled the stadium instead of just muddling season to season in the hope something changes with no plan or direction.

2011 was one of our better windows, which sums it up.

He wasn't obligated too, hence why he didn't. From a business perspective though you would attempt to get the club back to the PL as it's a more sellable asset rather than just letting it rot and falling down the divisions before essentially having to give it away for nowt. Not sure how you can turn his mismanagement onto the fans, strange take.
