  1. Obviously you've not read my post where I clearly pointed out that I don't think less of people who want Howe out, and said it's actually the "Howe FC" shouts which are making out that you're a lesser fan if you don't want the manager sacked. Where do you stand on people saying anyone supporting the manager is burying their head in the sand by the way? I'm guessing regarding the mentally fragile stuff you're on about me saying people crumble when seeing a team sheet? I'm sorry like but if you're going to say stuff like "this lineup is so bad even if we win it's bad for us because he'll use it for the next game" then there's definitely something going on with their perspective. I hope we win regardless of whether I agree with the lineup or not. Maybe that's just me
  2. That doesn't make much sense to me. People aren't burying their head in the sand because they disagree that sacking the manager is the answer to our problems, no matter how you're using the phrase
  3. That's not burying your head in the sand. It's recognizing that things need to improve and looking for ways they can without having to sack the most successful manager we've had in ages. Burying your head in the sand to me would be ignoring any mistakes made by Howe and acting like everything is going well. I don't think I've seen any of that
  4. And spending way more than we're able to now while also making illegal payments to agents and that. They were playing a different game all together
  5. Nobody is burying their head in the sand. Everyone is concerned about our form, it's just that some are able to see a team sheet and not crumble into despair before a ball is even kicked. Or recognize that subs are made around the time subs are usually made by every team, and not make a big deal out of it. I don't think anyone is less of a fan because they want Howe out. I don't really go for the whole ranking of fans or getting your ticket stubs out to play top trumps. I respect opinions if they hold up to the slightest of scrutiny, unfortunately a lot of the stuff getting said doesn't. I have seen plenty of "Howe FC supporter" talk and there's no doubt that the people saying things like that think the people who want to give Howe time are lesser fans
  6. My original post wasn't any of that though, so if anyone thinks it is they must not know the meaning of the word, Shirley? Edit: apparently knowing the meaning of words, using them accurately and pointing out when they aren't is enough to be labeled as sanctimonious. Strange times
  7. It's a pelanty for me, Clive. Stood on his boot
  8. That is what I said originally. I said I've got more time for one over the other. And the point about supporting the club stands. There's nowt sanctimonious about it, I'm not sure you know what the word means
  9. It's not sanctimonious to say I'd prefer to read other stuff than relentlessly bleak negativity
  10. Hit his shin first. I hate the CL handball rules
  11. Dunno about that mind. I've a lot more time for people looking at positives, reacting rationally and taking a rough patch in their stride than I have for the folk bumping this thread the instant we concede a goal. That's what being a fan is about, taking the bad times with the good. Not spitting the dummy on the Internet at the earliest opportunity, getting proven wrong by the manager and the lads and then grinding your axe for the rest of his tenure, letting everyone know you've got a massive chip on your shoulder
  12. Well I assume he knows what's up but can't really come out and say it. Sorting the keeper and striker situation out will go a long way to improving things I reckon, be interesting to see what happens
  13. I agree with that. I felt the same about Keegan returning, and he was the best manager I'd ever known
  14. It'll never stop people from using it as a stick to beat Howe with mind
  15. That's bollocks. Kane had returned from loan and was in the Spurs team at 21 in the 13/14 season. He won the premier league young player of the year the next season. He was faster and stronger then than Woltemade will ever be. It speaks to how utterly delusional our fanbase can be when they look at Kane playing last night and think to themselves "that could be Woltemade"
  16. I don't know why these Twitter nonces get any attention at all
  17. Zero look in they reckon
  18. Exactly 50/50 on the poll. Fight!
  19. A solitary magpie shat on Eddie's windscreen. He's gone in the summer
  20. People reading omens and portents of doom into all sorts of crap lately
