You haven't read the original message as to why people are complaining they can't apply for more tickets.

If they allowed more 1 ticket for people, everyone would just apply for the maximum possible especially if being free event. That would mean you could have lots of tickets not used, and it's also a bad way of actually finding out actual numbers.

People will just get as many tickets as possible though and lots would go unused as probably duplicates.

Suspect it being a dry event is based on the police etc.
