    Marc Guehi

That's totally unfair! Parish called Guehi a superstar player, so he should offer him a top contract and wage! If not, Guehi should just let that contract run down. On Trent, they waited till his last year to offer an extension! They offered him 300k a week in January. Think he'd have turned that down with two years to go on his contract? Now they're letting Konate's contract run down too. If they don't offer him something near VVD's deal, he'll realize he can boost his value by joining Real Madrid. You'll hear them whining next summer again.
  2. Nah, we don't. Last summer, there where rumours saying we offered him to Liverpool and that Arsenal were preparing a bid and how he idolisd Henry and supported Arsenal, remember? Then he piped up and said... "The only thing I can say is that a lot of information and rumours often come out. Much of what I read is not true. So that’s about all I can say about the whole thing." So, someone's saying we shouldn't believe that, and they're being clever, huh? If he signs a new contract (which i think he will), does an interview, and says he loves it here—again—should we think he's being clever? We really dont deserve nice things.
  3. I think you're overthinking this. He was asked about his future, and he answered. I could also argue he could have dodged the question and said something like, "I'm focused on the next game and the rest of the season, thats where my attention is at the moment." Even when asked about his future in national duty with Sweden he did say that. "There's not much to say, really. I've commented on my situation and my security in Newcastle several times. "it's been written how much love the city and the club, how well I feel there. I'm not thinking about the future" As a fan, I couldn't ask for more from a player. However just because he says he loves it here doesn't mean he won't get sold, but it does mean he won't push for a move (hand in a transfer request). I'm pretty sure Isak won't do that. Bruno said he loved it here and wanted to stay, but if Man City triggered his release clause, he'd have left last summer.
  4. Yeah, that and a bit more cash will do it. We can't say he's worth north of £100m and then pay him like he's only worth £60m.
  5. Let's just pay the guy what he deserves, right? Wirtz is making just over 200k, I think 250k is reasonable. He's world-class, after all.
  6. Alexander Isak speaks out on his future after Arsenal, Man Utd & Tottenham links: "Yeah, of course I want to be here in the future," he told @MsiDouglas. "I came here for the project, I absolutely love playing here, I really feel at home." Guess there is nothing there also?

Yeah, I agree, especially since Konate's not signing a new deal and will probably be sold this summer or leave for free next year. Real Madrid sounding him out already. Avoid Quansah.
  8. I will say reject it, not because they are cunts (which they are tbh) But you don't sell a world-class player to a team you are aiming to compete with in the future. They'll basically have two guaranteed 20-goal scorers. I'd rather sell to Bayern, PSG, etc., for €20 million less than any English club. And hey, once you sell to an English team, other players, like Tino, for instance (Man City's all over him), will probably leave, 'cause you've shown you'll sell to rivals.

Fair play mate, I think its unfair to judge a players injury record over 2 seasons only when he has been consistent in all bar 1 season at the club. Especially when the bulk of the games missed were in one season. Might as well say Rodri has been injured a lot for Man City these last 2 seasons aye, plus he is also getting older. I will definitely disagree with you there. I still think we need a backup DM to cover big Joe and Tonali

You might be right or might be wrong on that, but at the moment to say he is rarely fit is definitely wrong.

Yeah, if you cherry-pick two seasons to make a point, especially when 20 plus games are in one season, you're right. But if you're being fair, you should look at the season with his serious injury separately. Plus, half the team was injured in 23/24. My point is, Big Joe averages 30 EPL games a season, so saying he's rarely fit is wrong. But I do need someone to cover for him, you know, for when he's rotated or suspended or has a knock.

Since he signed for nufc 38,31,35,32,20,29 epl appearances The anomaly being the 23/24 season.

He played 29 games last season. He averages 30 EPL games a season for us, which is 75% of the games.

    Jarell Quansah for 40 million?
  15. He won't do it, he'll lose his loyalty bonus, unless Liverpool covers that too, making the deal even pricier, which in highly unlikely.
  16. That's the thing, right? You wanna swap one player for two. So, let's say we get £150m for Isak from Liverpool, and use that to buy two players. That's most of the money from Isak's sale gone just to replace him. Decent players cost over £60m each, plus, say, £120k a week in wages. That eats up most of the extra cash from the sale. I don't see any upside to selling Isak to Liverpool or any epl team, if we want to be a top-four team. None whatsoever. You are handing them a guaranteed 20 goal a season striker on top of the talent they have. Nah there is no upside here.
  17. Finding a 20 goal striker (every season) isn't easy, you know? We have Isak. In the EPL, there's Haaland, Salah, and Isak – replacing him will be tough.

Great album that but it was 04. 03 was 50, Get rich or die trying. Both are some of my favourite albums.
  19. Let's not do any business with the Sky 6 for our top players. Reject all offers from them. Do a Daniel Levy! Selling Isak or Gordon to Liverpool would be a disaster – then Tino's off to Man City and we're back to being a feeder club. Just say no to all Prem teams. I'd much rather see Isak in Barcelona than Liverpool, even if it means less money.

So many people are echoing Gabby Agbonlahor's take on it – that he would take less to play for Brentford than Newcastle. A player would only choose Chelsea over Newcastle for football reasons, nothing else. Chelsea’s got a great project, a young team, and long contracts. That whole "London's fancy nightlife etc" thing is just nonsense. Tonali left Milan for Newcastle with his Lass! If it was us and Crystal Palace/Fulham etc competing for JP, he'd pick us. Football reasons. We just need to offer him a good package and project, and he'll come here instead of Chelsea. Honestly, that whole London thing is overrated. Chelsea, Arsenal, and maybe Spurs are the hot teams in London right now, especially against Newcastle. Forget the nightlife etc.
