Who played left back that season?
-
At least Gittens is with the first team. David Washington is the kicker for me. Brazilian wonder kid, bought for 18 odd million quid on a 7 year contract 3 years ago. Not been seen much since. But players will keep choosing them over us.
-
I hope Pope isn't on the bench for us next season. He needs to be sold.
-
A little over a year ago, he was a poor kid on the streets of Nigeria. Now he has an opportunity of a 8-year contract with a decent wage at one of the biggest clubs in the world. I know what I'd do if I were him.
-
Yeah, it's no shocker, any young player's gonna go for the bigger club. If it's us or Brighton, they'll pick us, but if it's us or Chelsea, they're going with Chelsea. Players always back themselves, and agents are all about the money, so there you go.
-
Most of his followers are from places like Africa and Asia. In Europe, people tend to follow TV outlets and real journalists, like Ornstein in the UK. People find him more credible. I would put Romano in the content creator category.

4D chess mate. Food chain and all that.
-
Has 2 years left in his contract, and under fifa rules cant sign an extension till he is 18. They have given him a shitty wage there at Liverpool. I see him leaving for a better wage at bayern.

Howay man, mine was also tongue in cheek 😉 Agreed on the last bit.

Experiencing a concert or international football or a CL league game is different from having CL experience or international football experience. I think you can differtiate between the 2 surely. Our youngsters like Sam have experienced CL football, but they dont have CL experience. Surely there is no argument here?
-
So, are we saying Max Dowman has CL experience with that logic? Sam Neave/ Alex Murphy has EPL experience. Any youth player with a few sub appearances, some bench time, and who's been around training and matchday squads has EPL experience. "Lets try be factually accurate." Come on man be real. He doesn't have CL experience but certainly has appearances. If you read more accurately it was said he doesn't have CL experience, it wasn't said he doesn't have CL appearances. Read to understand not to respond
-
Can't say 40 odd mins is CL experience like. CL appearances yes, but experience? No.

Hall himself admitted he wasn't ready back then. He said defending was the main thing he had to fix when he first got to Newcastle. He even mentioned that Howe stayed late after practice a lot to work with him one-on-one and that helped him develop into the player he is now. The way fans have turned on Howe this season is mind-boggling. Even this season, Hall's defensive actions have been a bit off at times, which is probably why he's not on the England squad, along with his speed and height. Spence, Livra, and the City kid are all faster and stronger physically than him.

I seem to remember Anderson being very injury prone here too..
-
That's not true. A player will always go to the bigger club. If Chelsea wants him, they'll get him. He's certainly not being turned into an 80 million player there.
-
Unfortunately, the club can never do this. We have to accept that we're going to be selling off one of our assets here and there. The club has already hinted at this. Villa won a trophy and finished 4th, but their star player is likely to be sold this summer. I think the confidence we need in the club is the trust that if we sell one of our prized assets, we can replace them with someone who is just as good. That means our scouting needs to be top-notch.
-
Ffs had forgotten about him, geezz they horde wingers dont they.
-
Another young talent about to get lost in Chelsea’s loan army…
-
Kroupi and Rayan are prime examples. They've only been in the league for one season and they're already worth more than double what Bournemouth paid. With a budget of 150 million, you could get 4 or 5 really good youngsters to mix into our team, and we'd be right back in the hunt for the top 4 or 5. We just need to get our scouting right, like a lot of people say. Let's just do what Chelsea and Liverpool do to us and gazump the Brightons and Bournemouths.
-
They've moved on from the Tonali or Bruno talk, they're on Hall now. Clickbait.
-
We should not be selling Tonali. Unless he pushes for the move ala Isak.
-
They need less than 14 points imo.. 30 points should be about enough to stay up this season.
