If Isak & Willock can stay fit and find form for the rest of season -
There is a slim chance we could tempt him as Eddie Howe is supposedly really good friends with him, and if rumours were to be believed he was our first choice before Ashworth but he turned us down.

Michael Edwards Liverpool‘s old sporting director would be my choice, but it’s probably just a pipe dream as I think he said recently, he doesn’t want to be a sporting Director anymore.

The way I feel about it is if somebody wants out of the project, let them leave they no good to us if not committed. See you later Dan. I’m generally excited to see who we fill his position with.

I can’t remember where I read it(or watched it) but I remember Henry Winter saying that if Ashworth left Newcastle would go for Brentford sporting director Phil Giles. Henry Winter spoke very highly of him. I don’t know anything about him but he said that Phil Giles is a geordie and an avid Newcastle Fan. my choice of replacement would be Michael Edwards, but i trust in the ownership & whoever they pick will be right person for the job.
