  1. Mixed views on this. We missed his leadership, shit-housing and nastiness when he was out. Don't think the second half collapse against the mackems would have happened if he had played. But he was making quite a few mistakes last season and was like running in treacle at times against pacy forwards. Means we need to replace both him and Burn next summer, and maybe Botman if he's still injury prone and been unable to regain his form from 2-3 years ago. If Thiaw is out for a few weeks/months we have zero pace at CB and that terrifies me.
  2. Yes, even Ronaldo used Man United as a stepping stone to go onto the biggest club in the world Real Madrid for his peak playing years. Suraz used Liverpool to get to Barcelona. There's loads of examples.
  3. I like the future sale percentage, as opposed to percentage of profit on sale. So when he goes to Liverpool or Chelsea in 2-3 years we pocket some cash.
  4. £60m plus add ons. Good but not brilliant.
  5. £4m less than Jacob Ramsey, possibly similar wages? Thank fuck we are looking abroad more this summer.

Were relegated per the xG table. See if they significantly out perform this metric next season. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c1l229n3j9go
  7. They were actually. Introduced 2014 but it didn't impact us under the FCB so we as fans sort of ignored the detail of the regulations. Maybe Bruno wants the move. Been here 4-5 years won us a trophy and fancies living in London. Can't blame him, he's done his part, now might want a new challenge and payrise.
  8. I think too many people are overlooking Howe the person, not just Howe the football manager. Those of us old fuckers who were adults for the KK era will remember that for his last few months he looked shattered, less spark in interviews, self doubt had started, and as we found out later he had offered to resign before he eventually did. I see these similarities with Howe today. That's why I think him leaving by mutual consent is best for all. He has the KK look just before he left. Hope I'm wrong but I don’t think he has the energy, fight or self confidence to oversee the massive rebuild that's required. All just IMO of course.
  9. I am Andy Howe, I've been outed. Soz about last summer.
  10. Well I dont want to totally derail the thread but its 100% accurate. End of 20/21 season under Bruce we finished 12th losing 17 games. End of this season we finished 12th losing 17 games. I appreciate its a bit more nuanced than that but that's the facts. I stand by my original point, if the club are serious about 2030 ambitions and its not just some PR media bullshit then I'd expect a new manager in very soon.
  11. Sorry dont understand that reply mate. Do you mean we should sack Howe.
  12. I'm sure its been posted in the last 10 pages or so, but our last full season under Bruce we finished 12th, losing 17 games. c£700m(?) later on signings and we are back where we started, albeit with a trophy and two CL campaigns along the way. But the fact is we are back to the 20-21 position. If the club are serious about their 2030 ambitions then no way Howe survives the next couple of weeks.
  13. Not the end of the world if the fee is decent. Say £80m fee, spend £30m on a replacement from outside the PL and give Miley and Ramsey more games. Can live with that.
  14. Its in The Athletic so presumably written by GC who will never say anything bad about his hero's Howe and Burn.
  15. The really frustrating thing is that there's a ready made replacement available now. PL proven, can cope with top stars being sold, happy to go with youth (including foreign youth) and is available now for free.
