  1. We've seen more from all 3 than Miley so that's a bizzare take to say the least. Anderson looked brilliant on his loan move, Tonali was great for Milan, longstaff shown consistency and chipped in with goals and assists. I like Miley and definitely excited to see how he develops but think some are getting more than carried away.
  2. Every time I watch his pre match press conference I'm just over the moon and proud that he's our manager. Exactly the mentality and mindset we need.
  3. ? don't know what's wrong with people, couple defeats and people have lost the plot.
  4. Aye which I find absolutely bizzare and I'm baffled there are people that negative. We need a win to go through, why take a draw ?. We were robbed of 3 points in the last game, we worked our bollocks off last season to get top four, we're great at home, we have players back. Come on man.
  5. Just need to forget about all that and go all-out for the win man and hope we do it. We might be in a very different positions with injuries etc soon. No point in getting to the champions league and thinking any differently, what all the hard work last season was for. Also don't forget we deserve to have it in our hands tomorrow, but for a disgraceful refeering decision.
  6. Aye and its also unjustly not in our hands if not for a disgrace of a penalty decision. Of course he's going to acknowledge the Europa League as like you said we could go out even if we win. Why even bother getting 4th place and qualifying for the champions league if people are happy to go out of it and the first opportunity? It's not like we don't deserve to be there, or don't deserve to qualify is it? I'd understand if we'd been beat soundly every game. Let's take a draw and get knocked out at the first opportunity after all last years hard work...dare to dream eh, deary me.
  7. Ah come on you've got to be the most negative man in the world to say you'd take a draw before tomorrow's game. Just don't get that mind set at all. Think you're taking liberties with Eddie's comments, no way will the thought of playing for a draw be entering his head.
  8. Mental isn't it people saying they'd take a draw when we need a win ffs ? utter buffoons.
  9. That's what those results are though a bit disappointing, lose tomorrow night people will be disappointed. Lose against Sunderland people will be pissed off, that's the difference.
  10. Surley you could say that about any defeat then? I'd say there would be more negative reaction from this defeat than any other?
  11. I can see the argument losing any of our CL games wouldn't have been a big deal as didn't have an expectation to win. Dortmund losses we've forgotten about and moved on from, the defeats didn't hurt that much really.
  12. Think that would be out the window giving our current situation.
  13. I think he's benefited us more defensively than people realise too, our defensive record with him in last season was brilliant. Appreciate it was alongside Botman, but definitely made us hard to score against.
  14. When everyone's fully fit and rested aye I agree I'd not have him in the first 11 either. However we're going to have to use our squad to get out of this slump.
  15. Well he's right isn't he, we're gonna have to put the likes of Burn back In and rotate others out.
  16. Bizarre take not sure why anyone would claim that. Would be Howes biggest loss after the cup final I think so guess managers are some times judged on those types of games. Don't think it would effect his standing too much at Newcaslte however.
  17. Trippier was absolutely brilliant in the Man United game before Everton, he was MOM for me, key to how we played and wasn't obviously fatigued. So it's only the Spurs game we can really have any criticism for that, seems harsh. Let's see how things go when botman, Burn etc are back.
  18. Think it's harsh he did rotate in the league cup, he played Dummet and Lascelles together at centre half vs City and has played Hall also. There's the possibility he just doesn't think Hall is there yet, I'm sure if he thought he was capable he would be getting more minutes. I do agree it was odd not to take Trippier off yesterday when he subbed Livromento. But generally I don't think we've had a great opportunity to rotate at all.
  19. RW/CM still more of a priority for me but we have an opportunity for a keeper should take it. Don't think the keeper issue would have stood out as bad If our outfield players were in good form. We've put a lot of pressure on to Dubravka with poor play and defensive fuck ups.
  20. But he's had no one to rotate with. This would only be relevant if we were in this situation and he had options on the bench to turn too. He hasn't.
  21. Need to get behind him and the team with more support than ever over the next couple of weeks. We can't give the " we don't demand a team the wins, we demand a club that tries" line then not back it up when the going gets tough. Certainly can't doubt that everyone connected to the club is trying to improve it these days.
  22. That's my fear, fancy us for the win. Got a feeling that awful pen call at PSG will come back to haunt us.
