  1. dont think we keep Isak for more than next season despite how we do so I can see him bedding in for a year then leading the line. A situation he may well accept if the other choices are also being a squad player for a consistent period at other clubs who he may go to
  2. was so sure of him I got him on my away shirt !
  3. this right hand side feels a bit like the moment we changed from Solano to Ambrose. There was a drop off we didnt quite repair and it stung us. Id like us to go established this time to avert that moment again
  4. This is peak football manager business. Well played all. The only sad part is he can say hes played games for us

sadly I don't think you're intelligent enough to debate with so I will move on

So you're happy if people say that about you, because you are holding public views against a set of people you disagree with? I personally think you're entitled to your views and have no opinion on them, but you have just openly attacked people for doing exactly what you are doing. Quite the paradox and shows the absurdity of the argument.

Would you say this of other people with religious beliefs? Perhaps it's bigoted to dislike somebody because of the beliefs of their religions. This in turn would turn on you..... Social narratives dictate views but they can always be turned.

Still think hes the perfect partner for Botman long term. The guy also having firm beliefs and backing them publicly is a rarity in the game these days. We are all entitled to our beliefs and id rather have somebody strong enough as an individual in the team than somebody without that strength. Personally peoples beliefs dont bother me, it's the player and the personality and I think he has both. Get him & Trafford and solidify the backline for 10 years
  9. Almirons best ever patch was when he had Trippier. Murphy at the moment is unplayable, do we think in any way it's due to having a rejuvenated Trippier on that side also?
  10. seeing the faded Lyon stripes tonight makes me think it could be spot on for this year. Hope it is, will be the first I buy in many years
  11. Think this guy should go down as a club legend even if he doesnt do another season. He has been a catalyst for everything and it turned out that not selling him last January was a masterstroke. His leadership and antics in the SF and Final were incredible and for me he will forever be "the one" from this group who was the most important. Tonali, big Joe, Bruno, Isak are all incredible but without Trippier starting the influx of talent, helping keep us up and driving the squad this wouldnt have happened. Hope he ends up in the backroom team and a coach with the club as he will be a huge loss around the place. Would also be such a shame to see him playing his career out for somebody like Everton
  12. Time to eat some humble pie here. He has definitely turned a corner as a manager and that has to be appreciated and applauded. All of the things I thought were so evident as flaws seem to have been adjusted slightly this season and he can only be applauded for that. We do not seem to be hell bent on one way of playing. The 2 arsenal games showed slight tweaks in formation and style, something we didnt do even when we didnt have the players to play the way we seemingly wanted to. The substitutions don't seem to be just favourites now on the 60th minute or reactive, they actively change the change each time. We are using players and shifting around to manage games and try to win games. Previously this didnt happen. The travel for games seems different and access to the club. The greatest thing a manager can do is evolve and I 100% think he has done that. I do no think last year we would have adapted to the arsenal games the way we did this year and that is all credit to him. He's become a better manager with more experience and its to our benefit. I never wanted him to fail here but also never thought he had those subtle changes in him and im delighted hes shown that he has
  13. long term future doesnt refer to not playing, if there isnt any movement expected Eddie always plays it with a straight bat and says how important they are to the team and squad. Beginning of the end for a 100% PSR player if you ask me
