seeing the faded Lyon stripes tonight makes me think it could be spot on for this year. Hope it is, will be the first I buy in many years

Think this guy should go down as a club legend even if he doesnt do another season. He has been a catalyst for everything and it turned out that not selling him last January was a masterstroke. His leadership and antics in the SF and Final were incredible and for me he will forever be "the one" from this group who was the most important. Tonali, big Joe, Bruno, Isak are all incredible but without Trippier starting the influx of talent, helping keep us up and driving the squad this wouldnt have happened. Hope he ends up in the backroom team and a coach with the club as he will be a huge loss around the place. Would also be such a shame to see him playing his career out for somebody like Everton

Time to eat some humble pie here. He has definitely turned a corner as a manager and that has to be appreciated and applauded. All of the things I thought were so evident as flaws seem to have been adjusted slightly this season and he can only be applauded for that. We do not seem to be hell bent on one way of playing. The 2 arsenal games showed slight tweaks in formation and style, something we didnt do even when we didnt have the players to play the way we seemingly wanted to. The substitutions don't seem to be just favourites now on the 60th minute or reactive, they actively change the change each time. We are using players and shifting around to manage games and try to win games. Previously this didnt happen. The travel for games seems different and access to the club. The greatest thing a manager can do is evolve and I 100% think he has done that. I do no think last year we would have adapted to the arsenal games the way we did this year and that is all credit to him. He's become a better manager with more experience and its to our benefit. I never wanted him to fail here but also never thought he had those subtle changes in him and im delighted hes shown that he has

long term future doesnt refer to not playing, if there isnt any movement expected Eddie always plays it with a straight bat and says how important they are to the team and squad. Beginning of the end for a 100% PSR player if you ask me

stepping in for gordon in the final and playing a blinder in an NUFC would be the moment this transfer finally made sense

What is also important to note is how well he could be organising that defence, something you would only know by being there. It may be a case that the defence and team as a whole is incredibly well drilled but what if that is down to the shouts coming from behind them. Teams tend to be much more solid when the defenders know they can rely on the goalkeeper and there is tremendous communication. This could be a key asset that isnt shown in any stats

can see this with some add ons for trafford
-
good move, cant see Pope wanting to be a number 2 and we need to upgrade on him. Keep Dubs, bring in somebody younger like Trafford and solidify that back 4 for years to come
-
Probably time to cash in
-
interesting performance, should definitely be considered as the second option on the right currently.

driving down morning of the game from Manchester way. Park at the stadium and go straight in
-
fly down

this deserved far more respect than it got

If all our transfer budget was spent on retaining Isak (singing on fee, salary etc etc) .... what would you think?

great decision by schar, nothing he cant do
