  1. Unlike previous summers, feels next summer we’ll be in a better place to sell a ‘purple’ after spending £200m this summer.
  2. He has some comedy moments, but Jackson underlying stats is pretty good for moving to a new league for a bat shit club and now having played under two managers. He'll go onto having a very good career IMO when he moves onto a European club this summer. Chelsea will splash big still on a striker. so it's pretty much a mute point saying he wouldn't start over Isak. Probably going to end up with Gyrokes at Chelsea by window shuts.
  3. I am. Got a high ceiling and would've been great under Howe and playing alongside Isak in certain games. For £30m it was a great deal, but alas we move on. Alternative signing of similar profile would be Barry from Villareal IMO.
  4. Crap predictions from me, but got the Newcastle ones pretty much spot on
  5. Not panicked, new owners, but Everton still need to generate money. They'll need a good sale to enable them to spend well, especially the amount of bodies they need to replace. Moyes has done an exceptional job since joining, but they're so close to have a fucked side. Alcarez will be one of their crown jewells moving forward, getting him for £12m will be a superb deal long term.
  6. With the extra games on TV (mixed in with the shitty Police request), it's almost guaranteed that both derbies will be 12pm. Just depends what day we play UCL whether it's a Saturday or Sunday midday kick off.
  7. Looking at the seedlings so far, this would be my dream draw for ‘fun games’. Home - Barcelona, Frankfurt, Marseille, Celtic Away - Real Madrid, Benfica, Napoli, USG Looking at Pot 3/4 sides, depending on who the away is in 3, we should be looking at 10 points from those which means one win from other 4 games to go through. So much more easier compared to group stages (famous last words). Bratislava lost all 8 games last season and earned more money than Chelsea going all way and winning loads in Conference League
  8. I was probably in the minority then that didn’t get swept away with the nonsense around him, because people were attributing every recognised signing to him.
  9. Chelsea wanted a new striker last summer, after signing Jackson in previous one and him doing well first season They also keep signing wingers and CMs Delap can score 8 in 24 (good return to start off with) and he’ll be deemed disposable as the next thing is available. He’ll be nothing more than a PSR flip for them.
  10. Don’t think he has much stature anyway. Far too hyped for stuff he did like 8+ years ago. We’ll still be an attractive role for many, because whilst maybe not having the full power, the finances over the coming years thanks to Howe delivering, will mean a DoF can spend £100m+ most seasons. Which can provide room for the established signings and their own little pick ups.

    Will Osula

Not to the required levels we would’ve needed, but would’ve been a better option than Wilson due to the pace / physical threat, and the bit of unknown that makes CBs think twice. As season has gone on, it’s been made clear to me that Howe sees him as a winger anyway, so we will sign a ST. Then it’s Osula / New RW, with Murphy eventually a back up RB / RWB as the squad evolves.
  12. DoF just needs to be someone who’s extremely competent in negotiations and able to link up key guys (Manager, Head Scout, CEO/Chaiman) to come to an agreement. Doesn’t need to be someone who’s a talent spotter as Nickson is that guy, and you bolster up his team. CEO/Chairman for the strategic view point and ensure club doesn’t fuck itself financially (basically a common sense, boring view in the room) and the manager who’s going to be working with the players and ultimately responsible for if that signing works or not (and the results). Howe has clearly shown now he can improve players, deliver consistently, so should have more of a say in decisions. Mitchell if sounds like wanted to have more of the say in that room, which he didn’t warrant at all. Then with Eales leaving, he was going to be on his own as Nickson / Howe are likely very well aligned right now. It’s all jokes aside, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Ashworth is brought back. All things considered, there was good relationships with Howe (Ashworth even wanted Howe at Man Utd) and for all Ashworth ‘hype’, his main skill is bringing people together and negotiating deals.
  13. Annoying Delap wants Chelsea. Everyman and his dog knows he’ll be available for loan in January 2026, after he doesn’t play much and Chelsea still want a striker.
  14. Time to play the card, it’s now. Can’t argue against giving him the power if PIF are ready to increase the revenues and go all in. Better off doing it with Howe who genuinely could be a long term manager for next 6+ years and get us the title.
  15. Supposedly off to some random 2nd division Saudi side. But wouldn’t rule out us making a bigger play. Ashworth back as an alternative?
