These are fucking shit let’s be honest. Dangerous on attack with KDB / Foden / Haaland, but they literally have no legs in CM, CBs made out of tissue and a two GKs that are either erratic / shit. We can’t go into the game treating them with respect like they’re going for title. They’re a wounded animal, on a downward spiral and we must smell blood. Edit: Sort of game where it will be a test for me to see if our mentality has improved and if we feel we can win these games, and win it comfortably. Because it’ll help for cup final.

They’ll be having that 1930 tie pinned up on the wall and likes of Mitoma will be fired up.
-
Winnable and that’s all we could ask for. And not a side that will kick lumps so it’s more about being sharp rather than avoid injuries before league cup final.

If he's got an automatic contract extension which we can trigger, unless he breaks down again by end of season, we are surely 99% triggering that? 3rd choice striker next season, or at worse sell for like £5m in summer. Feels we would only let him go in that scenario if the club were fully confident on Osula being the 2nd striker and him stepping up, and we have an eye on someone young from abroad for the <£5m price point, where it's a gamble on very low wages but someone we can see if progresses over 12+ months, knowing they shouldn't really be needed for too many minutes.

Would love Man Utd at home. That’s the dream tie for me. A good one would be anyone else at home. An annoying one would be Man City / Villa / Brighton / Bournemouth away. A shit one would be Palace / Forest / Wolves away. Games where we should be winning but 5% levels down with eye on league cup final following week, it’s an easy defeat.

As alluded too, GK, CB and RW are the main priorities. Fair argument that a RB may be too when Trippier leaves and ideally a CM. That will take up funds which we may not want to spend on a striker who (if we want Osula to step forward) will be third choice. It’s not even a 2nd choice signing really. Which means keeping door open on Wilson to be that bit part player for one more year may have its benefits short term. He himself could turn around and say he’s off, which means we have to move and likely revisit deals such as DCL, but I doubt we’re putting too much energy in the striker search right now.

This is Ange last game int it? Can’t be letting him have the Europa run giving how shit they’ve been.

Anyone at home. Legit chance of another final, or at worse another trip to Wembley for SF.
-
Rather Liverpool got through and got a hard game like City or Man Utd next round, need minutes in those legs of their top players before league cup final.
-
This is why we avoid Chiesa. Just a finished player.
-
Even if he goes in 2026, it’s only going to be big money and after another 12+ months of enjoying him. Win win for us.
-
Oh and Stones to throw in the injury towel after 15 mins when he’s made to look a mug by Isak.
-
If we can’t win at Etihad in league against these with their form and lack of legs in CM, then we never will. Fully expect Tonali to absolute boss them.
-
Up to him to stay fit and claim his spot then. The LCM spot is the one that’s available, then if he wants to play in Europe, he’s not going to be a regular for anyone in Europe.

If we got them, sound out the side similar to today and kick them
