Murphy and Longstaff not good enough . If only we actually bought RW rather than pissing around getting nowhere on a CB for 3 weeks -

One day Longstaff will learn to tackle -
Didnt say he had, just meant we dont know whats gone on behind closed doors and Howe is just as responsible as the rest of the transfer committee if we get nobody in by Friday
-
Depends if shes into that kind of thing
-
Transfers are done by commitee arnt they which Howe is part of along with Mitchell, Eales and Nickson so surely a failure in thia window is the responsibility of everyone on the committee. How do we know Howe hasnt been offered players from Europe by the scouting team but Eddie has said no to them as he prefers PL experienced players, which he has leaned towards during his time here. (14 out of 18 first team signings have been signed from british teams or are british)

Surely we can get better value for money abroad then paying tje "english tax" spunking 65-70m on Guehi and having nothing left in the pot. As we will eventually have Botman, Schar, Kelly, Burn, Lascelles as CB when fit would it not make sense to spend the money on a RW as Almiron will be worth next to nowt in a years time and Murphy isnt good enough. Loan a CB (with maybe an option to buy) and sort the CB next summer when Burn and Schar are out of contract (maybe give Schar a years extension)

Have a day off man, assaults him 🤣 It was an agressive push from behind, was more cowardly than anything
-
Was a red card all day, Schar fell for it hook line and sinker, lets be honest if the roles were reversed and Diaz got pushed then reacted like Fabian did, everyone would be calling for a red card You can still be sent off even if not contact is made. (E.g you can take a swing at someone and they swerve it) From IFAB site, Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.

-
Have southampton's signed one of Jonjo Shelvey's clones?
-
Pope down, least we have got 4 keepers spare
-
Pope cant kick for toffee
-
Schar is a f****ng idiot, he has lent his head into Diaz who makes the most of it but a red card all day long Some people need to take their black and white blinkers off

Us qualifing for the CL in 22/23 was also helped by Spurs and Chelsea having a mare finishing 8th and 12th. The chances of one of the sky 6 having a season as poor as that is slim. As much ae id love us to be in the CL, until we have a better squad depth, fighting for Europa League is probably where we will be
-
Both Villa and West Ham have spent really well this summer, think they will be our rivals for top 6. No chance we get top 4 without any transfers, squad is currently weaker than it was in May.

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)
JigsawGoesToPieces replied to Deuce's topic in Football
Almirons value is only going to depeciate with his contract in the final 2 years, will be lucky to get £10m for him now and that figure will start reduce over the next twelve months -

Miggy and Murphy are not really players if your aspiring to be top 6-8 never mind top 4. Both are average squad players who wouldnt really improve the first XI of any of the top 10-12, they work hard but dont have the technical ability. If we keep these because they "work hard" we are not going to progress. Need to say thanks for all they have done and move them both on
