  1. West Ham probably have the worst record in the Prem when it comes to striker signings. Really surprised Wilson got this move tbh. Anyone who watched him last season could tell that his legs had completely gone for this level
  2. Hojlund is awful. You really going to give him a third season ? ....wait I meant to say he's great and should definitely start the season with him as your number 1 striker, goals guaranteed
  3. Slovenian outlet Delo doubling down with a follow up story today https://www-delo-si.translate.goog/...en&_x_tr_hl=sl&_x_tr_pto=wapp&_x_tr_hist=true
  4. Romano said before yesterday's bid that Liverpool would only bid if there was encouragement from Newcastle's side. Well they bid, and within a matter of minutes we told them to fuck off. How can he still with any credibility keep peddling the line "if Newcastle open the door" ? Clearly just doing Liverpool's dirty work from day one
  5. This media campaign by Liverpool has been nothing short of a disgrace. It took them weeks of noise to finally put in a first bid. I'm fucking tired of it, and you could tell that Howe was miffed with Liverpool's conduct during today's presser. All their media minionns trying to paint Liverpool as being respectful towards Newcastle is a joke. Here's a compilation of the bullshit they've been trying to sell on behalf of their client (Liverpool): "Will only bid if theirs encouragement from Newcastle" "Hughes has a great relationship with Howe, so wants to be respectful " "Have pulled out, and will not put in a second bid" "Will not be drawn into a cycle of rejected bids" "We want Isak, if not for sale we'll hijack the Ekitike deal"
  6. I really hope we keep Isak even if we bring in Sesko. We can't afford to be bullied around like this. Need to take a page out of Daniel Levy's book
  7. I feel the timing of this offer is very deliberate. Liverpool know that Newcastle will resume training back in Benton on the Monday/Tuesday By putting a lowball bid in before the squad returns (knowing it would be rejected) under the bullshit pretence that it's their final offer, it sets the scene for Isak's absence to cause maximum impact. Liverpool have most likely pre-orchestrated with Isak that he, as well as handing in a transfer request, doesn't report for training. Cue all Liverpool's media mates spewing stories about how the situation is now "untenable", "toxic" and that there's "no way back for Isak" etc. All in the hope that by ramping up this narrative it forces Newcastle to pick up the phone again, and thus with little leverage to seal a deal beyond the already tabled £110m. I really hope well tell them to fuck off.
  8. What makes the lowball offer even more insulting is that Liverpool have been practically telling the whole world how loaded they are this summer. Tons of news articles in the vein of "we broke the British transfer record for Wirtz but can still afford to spunk another £500m and be PSR compliant"
  9. Ignored because it makes Craig Hope look completely out of the loop if true
  10. I believe it was a local Basque paper that got the scoop on us signing Isak. This feels similar. People overestimate the reach of Romano and Ornstein, particularly when it comes to a relatively small nation such as Slovenia.
  11. Pass me the lube. Reading this will be fun 😆
  12. We've still spent less than the mackems. I think we can afford buying Sesko and keeping Isak Cb is a number 1 priority. Ideally a smart cheapo/loan signing in midfielder for depth
  13. I think 99% of supporters were prepared for him to leave next summer. If (and it's a big if) we get Sesko in, we should dig our heels in and keep Isak for another 12 months regardless. Worst-case scenario he can sulk on the bench whilst Sesko plays ahead of him. It's imperative for the "project" that we're not seen to instantly cave in to the duplicitous tactics of one of the "Super League" clubs whenever they fancy poaching one of our players. If Isak can force a move within a week then who's to say that Tonali doesn't try the same next summer? If the ultimate goal is to become the "destination" then folding under the slightest bit of player/agent/media pressure is not the way to go.
  14. How credible are these Slovenian journalists?
  15. A man can dream. I fear that if this is true, it will most likely give Isak the green light to go mega cunt and completely refuse to train/ever play for us again next week
  16. Not convinced by this guy at all, but after this transfer window from hell I'd be happy just to get a body in.
  17. Bin the Wissa idea and get into the scousers with a 442 with Isak/Sesko up top?
  18. Their fanbase is having an absolute melt down this evening. They really have convinced themselves that we'd bend over for the holy than thou Liverpool football club. After these shenanigans I think we should insist on not selling to these cunts. Let's wait for an actual bidding war next summer (which they'll be desperate to avoid) and sell him to a PSG/Real Madrid/Barca/Bayern, who could all feasibly be in the market for a striker Cannot wait to get into these bastards first home game of the season! Bank Holiday Monday, the booze wil be flowing, SJP under the lights, and these entitled cunts will be in town.
  19. Romano now saying in his latest video that the deal is completely dependent on Newcastle having a replacement in beforehand. If that's the case, this transfer is dead
  20. Romano has always peddled the line that " Liverpool will only make a bid if their is encouragement from Newcastle's side" That has proven to be absolute bullshit. Through this whole sage he has acted like a client journalist for either Isak's cunt agent or Liverpool.
  21. The fear is, we'll get the Isak we had in the last 8 games of the season. We all thought he was injured, but maybe his performances, or lack thereof, was a reflection of him being completely checked-out mentally.
