  1. Thing is, I wouldn't believe a word of what Liverpool leak to their minions in the press. Remember 2 weeks ago when they briefed everyone with the line "Give us Isak, otherwise we'll hijack the Ekitike deal"
  2. So in other words, Newcastle's stance clearly remains that he's not for sale. This media campaign has lasted 2 weeks now, and contrary to what every journo would like us to think (with their incessant think pieces about how Isak will fit into Liverpool's starting XI) the fact remains that the closing of the window is fast approaching and there has been fuck all progress. If we miss out on Sesko, I don't see how we can afford to let go of Isak even if our preference would've been to cash in on an unhappy player. The time needed to sign 2 strikers before the window shuts just isn't there. Tough luck Liverpool
  3. What a shit show. Eddie Howe is going to have to pull off a masterclass in man management to reintegrate Isak back into the squad. My concern would be that Isak will pick up a few more mysterious muscle strains this season if he's completely checked-out mentally. Imagine being miserable and going on strike because you're earning only 120k a week. These footballers have completely lost touch with reality, makes me fall out of love with this game tbh
  4. Poor first touch, misses far too many chances, inconsistent and goes missing for weeks on end in the Bundesliga. He's a bit of a clumsy ala Andy Carrol type, but with pace who has scored some bangers ( although his goalscoring record in the Bundesliga isn't particularly prolific) He's still young, raw etc (and that's what you're paying for essentially), but imo it's a massive gamble to suggest he's ever going to develop into a 20+ a season PL striker. Just my two cents
  5. Rival fans will think I'm being bitter, but I was never buying the Sesko hype. Unlike alot of YouTube "football content creators", I actually watch Bundesliga weekly and have serious doubts his style of play will translate well to the Prem (personally feel that Openda is better suited actually). It's an awful lot of money for a kid who appears to have a seriously toxic agent to boot. Chances of him flopping hard at Manure are incredibly high, just look at their success rate with transfers the last 10 years, that club is a graveyard for careers and player development. A sulky Isak playing for Newcastle will for sure score more than Sesko this season.
  6. If he wanted us, Sesko would be having a medical with us already. He's obviously waiting for Man U to get their ducks in a row so they can pay him stupid wages which we wouldn't be able to afford. There's no chance he chooses us over Man U now.
  7. Not too fussed about this transfer falling through. We all know that we're once again being exploited by a grifter agent for leverage so that they can milk as much money out of their true target, Manchester United. When this transfer inevitably gets hijacked by Newton Heath I think the likelihood of Isak leaving this window becomes minute.
  8. I have been disgusted by the entitlement of the Sky 6 media acolytes. Do they fucking realise he has 3 years left on his contract and that we're a Champions League outfit? The way the media has gaslit everyone into thinking this deal will inevitably happen this summer, and for a cut price as well, you'd think Isak was in the last 12 months of his contract playing for Burnley.
  9. I guess Ramsdale is happy to be a number 2 these days
  10. Utterly confused as to what the pecking order for our goalkeepers will be now. I assume (hope) it'll be: 1. Pope 2. Ramsdale 3. Ruddy 4. Gillespie and then Dubravka (sold) + Vlach (deadline day loan deal) I still believe Pope is a far superior goalkeeper to Ramsdale. Complete faith in Eddie of course
  11. Why have Adidas become so boring? The designs were so original for each team back in the 90s, now they just shit every clubs designs through a safe template. Of course it saves money, but still, there's no way I'll spend £100 on any of this season's kits because of how bland the designs are. The only kit I rate since Adidas's comeback was last year's away kit . Case in point, the fact the Adidas goalkeeper kits now are all identical, bar the club crest, is daylight robbery imo. A far cry from the bespoke goalkeeper kits they designed for us in the 90s
  12. The fucking preamble to an actual bid here is exhausting. Liverpool and their media acolytes have been circle jerking over this transfer for weeks yet not one official bid has been made. Could it be because they know our official stance remains that Isak is not for sale? MAKE A BID OR FUCK OFF
  13. Makes my blood boil that a Man U team that finished 15th and are apparently "skint" can still outbid us even though we're a champions league team. The PSR glass ceiling is real.
  14. This. Looking at the list of top 50 earners in the prem. All of them but Bruno G and Emile Martinez play for one the Sky 6 clubs. Players "wanting Champions League football" is just another way of saying "get me on the Sky 6's wage structure", has nowt to do with Champions League football as this summer has sadly proven
  15. The fact that there are only 2 players outside the Septic 6 amongst the Top 50 earners says everything about the state of our game.
  16. Liverpool acting like the creepy drunk guy at the bar who won't take no for an answer
  17. Liverpool may have possibly fucked up by hijacking our Ekitike move. Had we got him through the door, then selling Isak would have been far more feasible. I just don't see how we can sell Isak before getting replacements in (which is proving near impossible considering our track record this window)
  18. The entitlement of Liverpool in this situation is just gross. I'd rather keep Isak for another 12 months, just to spite them, even if meant his value drops to £70-80m (which I doubt would happen) and sell him on to Barca or Bayern
  19. Eddie Howe is known to be an admirer, and when Sesko inevitably choses Manure, we will probably sign him on a free out of desperation
  20. If we can't get Sesko, I can't see how we can afford to let Isak go. Surely we can't go into a Champions League season with just Osula and DCL
  21. The media offensive has been a joke regarding Isak. Talk about tapping up en masse. It almost sounds like we have no say in the asking price for Isak and that Liverpool are entitled to buy him for £120m because they're Liverpool We should stand strong. At least £150m up front or fuck off. I just wish Real Madrid or Bayern Munich were in the market for a striker ( a bidding war would help bump his price up) + I feel queasy at the idea of Isak fist pumping at the Kop end
  22. So long as Eddie Howe is at the helm, you always feel like we could do something special despite the horrific transfer window. What a manger we have. If he left, you do feel that this "project" would fall down like a house of cards.
  23. Online Liverpool fans come across as the most insufferable entitled twats out there. None of them probably live anywhere near Liverpool in reality, but it makes using Twitter, Instagram etc unbearable. They have this idea that we should just bend over and accept £100m and not a penny more, as if it's their god-given right to poach our best players, completely dismissing the fact we've just beaten them in a cup final and are a champions league outfit. Fuck Liverpool, Fuck Sky, Fuck Football YouTube Wafflers stealing a living, Fuck Talkshite, Fuck Transfer Gurus, Fuck the lot of them
