Eales has done a good job imo. He’s built departments up from scratch and under him they’ve delivered a pretty extraordinary year on year growth, all things considered. I’m sure he’ll leave wishing he could have achieved more off the field though.

Best thing PIF can do is get an Executive Chairman in the door working on things day to day (similar to Khaldoon at Man City). Yasir is too far removed and if reports are to be believed, this slows things down.

I’m willing to bet the Paul Mitchell appointment would have worked out eventually but the unfortunate Eales announcement meant it was best for all parties to move on.
