People on here said Howe was within his right to get the players he wants. It's his team. But he's clearly not done the groundwork and is out of his depth playing the sporting director. Major signings clubs work on for a year and it's in motion (dialogue) for 6 months. We are having to improvise and we look inept.

To me it seems like he told the club a long time ago. No doubt in my mind Liverpool communicated to Newcastle they are interested. You can call it tapping up, but a move like this, it takes months of work to gauge if a transfer is viable. Just because the story wasn't out earlier doesn't mean things weren't playing out in the background. Isak's no doubt been firm in his stance, hence Howe took the decision to leave him out of the tour.

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

I've watched him plenty. Not good enough for teams fighting for relegation. Knew his move to Arsenal would be a failure. They didn't wait long to replace him. -

Why do people keep saying Barca. Just look at what happened with their pre-season game just now coz of financial reasons. They are in a mess. They couldn't afford Williams or Diaz for around £60-70m, they opted for Rashford on loan. They owe their third choice keeper €40m. They just finished paying off Messi and co. They will offer pennies for Isak.
