  1. Okay. It's all media talk. We're not scrambling for strikers. Several players haven't rejected us. Isak is injured. We're not gonna fine him for missing training. Where is the Liverpool bid? There is no bid. There is no interest. Liverpool will lose 4 forwards but Ekitike will replace them all.
  2. People on here said Howe was within his right to get the players he wants. It's his team. But he's clearly not done the groundwork and is out of his depth playing the sporting director. Major signings clubs work on for a year and it's in motion (dialogue) for 6 months. We are having to improvise and we look inept.
  3. No Liverpool journalists have said they have pulled out. We are a mess behind the scenes. Until there's some good news for fans (new signings, especially a forward), then we'll make them wait. That makes a lot of sense. Not admitting that is denying the inevitable.
  4. No. They are losing 4 forwards and Salah is a year older. They are not stopping with Ekitike. They want Isak and another young wide forward.
  5. There has been no talk of fine for Isak for missing train which would be a breach of contract. The club mentioned injury and scan then the Mitchell news came out (all this to divert bad press) from a year ago. That means it is the club's decision, not the player downing tools.
  6. To me it seems like he told the club a long time ago. No doubt in my mind Liverpool communicated to Newcastle they are interested. You can call it tapping up, but a move like this, it takes months of work to gauge if a transfer is viable. Just because the story wasn't out earlier doesn't mean things weren't playing out in the background. Isak's no doubt been firm in his stance, hence Howe took the decision to leave him out of the tour.
  7. I've watched him plenty. Not good enough for teams fighting for relegation. Knew his move to Arsenal would be a failure. They didn't wait long to replace him.
  8. Howe is out of his depth being in charge of transfers.
  9. The best thing about Ramsdale is he has a great agent lol.

    Yoane Wissa

    Saudi club after Wissa now.
  11. Why do people keep saying Barca. Just look at what happened with their pre-season game just now coz of financial reasons. They are in a mess. They couldn't afford Williams or Diaz for around £60-70m, they opted for Rashford on loan. They owe their third choice keeper €40m. They just finished paying off Messi and co. They will offer pennies for Isak.
  12. Man Utd. Wishful thinking. We're fine with him going there? PSG after young, hungry, dynamic forwards and have players in reserve. Bayern can't compete now.
  13. Who are his alternatives. And there's people on here that say a manager is fine doing the sporting director role too.
  14. Luke Edwards will be wrong on this just like he was with the Trafford thing.
  15. What Euro giant? Who is gonna pay £130m-150m? The giants of Europe are mostly PL teams. Their is no Serie A or Bundesliga team, 1 Spanish team (Real) and PSG. That is it.
  16. How many players have turned us down now? Howe wanting and getting to be in charge of transfers was a ridiculous idea.
  17. Record breaking PL fee done on the quiet? In this day and age. Nonsense. That would be way worse.
  18. We're restricted by PSR. We've missed out on a couple of players. Elanga fee took a huge chunk out of our budget. All that is obvious to everyone. Not keeping it quiet does us no favour.
  19. Red Bull clubs are known for this! Players know it's a stepping stone. They don't hold players against their wishes and usually have a set price in mind.
  20. I disagree. News has to trickle down. We already saw the the stuff with training, scan, Howe's comments. Yesterday was about what happened 12 months ago, wage increase that didn't come, putting some blame on Mitchell, mentioned the sell on clause etc. It's what clubs do to soften the blow.
