He'll never forget that moment. Core memory, right there His passing looked impeccable.
-
Biggest smile I've seen from him in a long time (crowd singing his name at the end). Brilliant to see. Now get it done in the PL
-
Say what you like about the opposition, but unless our passes are on point, and our attitude too...we don't perform like this. We have been excellent. PSV would have beaten us if we played poorly or carried out our all-to-often seen suspect passing. This win is our making, and not PSV's. Take a bow, lads

Just thought that I guess the nice 3 goal cushion has taken a lot of pressure off.
-
I say it every time, and I'll say it again: THIS is the game Elanga turns up FTLOG...just be that game
-
Excellent break, that. Slow-mo: Oooh, shout for he should have gotten on the end of that.
-
BARNES IS OUTSTANDING!!!!! He does what very few of our team do, these days. He believes in himself.
-
When the ball breaks from our defensive to midfield...we rarely put pressure on the opposition player about to collect. We really need to do something about this standing off nonsense. It's our biggest flaw.

Just got back after listening on Radio. Gutted I missed a Wissa goal But, come on! Gordon getting his CL goal, too
-
Inter weren't looking confident for the home team. Arsenal got lucky with the 3rd (not first pass), but overall...deserved. Hating Shearer as co-commentator. Gushing over Arsenal.
-
Both Inter and Arsenal's defences are shaky af.
-
£100m plus for Gordon would be epic business 2026's version of Carroll to LPool.

I think the answer to this often happens throughout football transfers. Belief/ego that the buying club are what the 'nose-dived' player needs. Belief that form temporary, and class is permanent. The transfer to them is exactly what will revitalise the players' value and performance level. No doubt the selling club pitch this, also. That's the way I see it, anyways

Offside stops a 3rd. But they play really good in the final third. Starting to get uncomfortably invested in this game
-
Really composed finish, too

Talk of us ditching him after half a season is absolute nonsense. Unless behind the scenes he's a turbo-tit He's going to be brilliant for us, and his suspect form (last few appearances) is just bad timing coupled with the return from injury.

On a slightly different note. While there will be better managers out there (daft to not think that) I can't help but think: during his dips and his peaks, the amazing results and disastrous results, and knowing he can improve...I always struggle to think of a better person to represent us. His interaction with the media always puts the club in a good light. He never embarrasses us, never has a shitty attitude to the reporter, always acknowledges the importance of the fans and the way the players need to excite the fans, etc. He speaks calmly and clearly, yet obviously has passion. He's level-headed but able to look beyond the now. Obviously results are the most important thing to the business (and they're great on the whole). But his representation of NUFC is flawless, IMHO. I struggle to think of a better person to lead us.

If we're using stats from your source...that's out of 40 passes and that's not including crosses. 40% of those 40 passes were backwards (which many noted during the game). Under 10% forwards. He's a winger and crosses are a huge part of that role. 5 out of 6 crosses failed (16.7% success). 5 out of 6 duals failed (not beating his man). He was sloppy today.

Today became funny. Talking up Wolves like they were challenging for the title after a rough few games. It was ridiculous. I get having an ex-player as co-com for the home team...but can't remember us being afforded the same. Maybe someone who was barely remembered etc?
-
He consistently ignored Hall's overlap, consistently cut in to dead ends, and consistently failed to complete passes in the box. So many times he spent going back to our goal end. He's a shadow of his best and he needs to change his personal training, because he's poor at the basics, now. If he doesn't get on top of it...he's going to fall very far. This is an Anthony Gordon issue, IMHO. Edit: And I hope he gets on top of it.
-
We're not using him to his best potential, but selling at a loss would be financially dumb. If a German club came in for him, at a no loss fee, then we'd need to be open to it for his sake. Because if we don't have a plan to accommodate his style in our play...then we're fucking with his career.

He's lacking some bravery, that's for sure. But my god, the guy gets zero protection from the ref. It's beyond a joke, now.
