Fave KK memory?

So many great memories. I'll always remember bumping into someone brandishing a chronicle, full of the news we'd signed him as a player. I think there was a picture of him coming down the steps of a plane and the steps had "Newcastle" painted on the side. That made me believe that it just might be true.

We'd been rubbish for years and it was all about to change. Suddenly MY club was thrust into national news.

This was one of the most successful players the country has ever seen, signing for US.

Just seemed too good to be true.

KK being sympathetic to whatisname - Gerry Thingie when Newcastle bt Spuds 7-2

Was 7-1.

I'd have put money on it that it was 7-2.

The morning after 5-0.

Going to school to see the papers front and back covered in the Toon and their victory. Guides, pictures, reactions, pullouts, the whole nation went mental for us.

Getting to high school and the whole place was buzzing, teachers, pupils, even the head master was walking about 5 foot taller that day.

It was just immense, everyone was in a belter mood, no one was grieving anyone, no detentions, teachers having a blind eye to trainers and having a sly tab behind the science labs, it was a great day.
