Tbf he was doing very well at Aberdeen before ManU and on a shoestring budget.

scottish football = utter s**** according to NUFC06

'we should be aiming higher than that' or some other such s****

In Scotland they are only 2 clubs Rangers and Celtic

Thats why every year each of them is champion

And you can go and f*** off with your Steven Pressley

I see Hibernian won the CIS cup. Aye, Hibernian. Hibs. The Hibees.

Not Celtic. Not Rangers.

Hibernian.

When was the last time some other club besides Rangers and Celtic became champions of Scotland?

Admittedly, it's a few years ago like. 1984/5, Aberdeen.

Van Basten :):)

Thought you would have learn after Gullit, not every great player is a good coach. I have my doubts about Koeman too to be honest.

Van Gaal extended his contract at AZ today, want to make them champions of NL the next years, and be a coach at the WC 2010.

van Marwijk would be ok, he is now considering a offer from NL club Roda JC.

Tbh if by some miracle FS decided on Van Gaal....We would brush them aside with a huge wad of cash...FS has more loose change than AZ have in the bank. :)

Hmmm...Az has quite some financial power (for a NL club). The chairman, owner of a bank invest a lot of money in the club.

Az have more possibilities today to buy players than PSV or Feyenoord.

Financially the Dutch league might as well be called the liliput league fella.

Yep..but the availiable finances are used in a better way in NL :)

Van Marwijk is still free, he refused the Roda JC offer.

Hmmm, maybe.  But I like the Lille manager Claude Puel. He is doing a great job for a small club. A good tactician as well. Would'nt mind one or two of his players. Like Odemwinge, Bodmer, kader Keita etc.

I don't really know much about him tbh other than he has been successful at a small club.  However,  I do know that as at about 2 months ago Puel was Comolli's number 1 choice to replace MJ should leave in the summer and that Comolli thought so highly of him, he was being touted as the only realistic option.  Since then Spurs' results have turned around so maybe MJ won't be leaving at all, but Comolli's assessment of Puel still remains.

Van Marwijk, he is a good manager, not a special one like Hiddink, Van Gaal or Adriaanse but did a decent job at Feyenoord. Winning an UEFA Cup with Feyenoord is a great achievement. his tiem at Dortmund was not a succes, but they are still struggling after he left.

Biggest mistake of that time at Feyenoord was selling van Persie for 3 mln euros :)

:idiot2:

With hindsight that looks like such small money now. Van Persie still Van Basten's fav player.
