The Shola Hip Injury Conspiracy

Is he really injured? Would a club really let a player go out onto the pitch if he wasn't 100%? Is this just a cover-up so we'll take it easy on him for playing so shit constantly? Are we sick of everytime he churns out shit that we get the "he's playing through pain" excuse?

I mean, delaying an op until the injury has worsened, how professional is that?

I hope he goes for his operation on his "injury", and never returns.

That's a bit harsh, what about the goals he's got us this season, and last season against the mackems and the smogs - bloody hero!  Think yourself lucky he has scored this season or we would have been bottom of the league - he's a geordie lad, knows what the club is all about - he's willing to play through the pain barrier cos he loves this club.  Get behind the lad man stop criticising him eh

No but think about it.

"Omg Shola is shit"

"Yah but he's injured man!"

"Get him fixed then"

"Nooo man we're gonna wait till gets even worse like! He'll be SCREAMING for an op by the time he gets it man!"

Erm, have you ever in the history of football came across a manager/club allowing a players injury to worsen and get more painful, whilst putting faith in him by putting him in our starting 11, when he could go for an immediate operation to get it fixed? I think it's very very odd, and certainly sometime I don't think would ever happen at any other club, and I find it baffling.

See! Exactly my point! If he wasn't playing in those games and wasn't at the club, maybe we'd have purchased a striker that was actually capable! I don't give two fucks if he's playing through pain! I'd rather have a fully fit striker on the pitch!

Shola deserves sympathy for the way the club are taking the piss out of him tbh.  He's injured, has been for a couple of seasons now, and they keep refusing/not offering him the operation he needs because they know he's desperate to play.  Do you think they'd even try this sort of thing on with Michael Owen?

They're risking the lad's future by playing on the fact that he's local and unproven so is desperate to keep turning out for the first team for as long as he can.  By rights they should have told him that he's due 6 months on the sidelines to recover from his injury, but then they'd be a man down, so they keep taking the piss.

Ah, the orthopaedic specialists are out in force again.

 With an agenda I might add. Presumably him coming off after 20-odd minutes after scoring the first goal against Everton is all part of an elaborate ruse.

Everywhere i look there is a conspiracy at this club. Not as big as the Belgravia/Polygon bribing scandal designed to see us bottom by christmas and force freddy to sell his shares.....

He should have gone for the op before last season.  He should definitely have gone before this season.  Right now we're probably in a position where he has to wait til the transfer window opens and we can get someone in, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this problem has been a long-term one that's needed treatment, not injections, for a while.

Only Shola knows how much discomfort he's suffering with, but if it's that bad he should be telling them he needs the op.  He looks almost lame sometimes at the minute.

Aye, if he'd been a horse, someone would have shot him by now.

Or, if Owen hadnt got his injury he may well have been on his way to recovery from that op by now.

He should already have been recovering from the op before Owen even picked his injury up tbh.  But at Newcastle we break up for the holidays on the day the last match is played, and we don't re-convene until just before the transfer window shuts.  :wullie:

I thought his hip problem was exacerbated during the end of pre-season? Thats when they decided an op was required? They've known, like we all have, that there has been a problem for a while but put it off for various reasons.

Two pre-seasons in a row they've said that they could fix it with injections and that an op wouldn't be necessary.  Two seasons following those pre-seasons it's been very clear, very early on that they were wrong.  I don't know which quack they're taking him to.  Maybe this doctor is used to looking at old granny's hips and doesn't realise there's a bit more to a Premiership season than there is to walking to the post office and back.  Useless!

i dont think he's injured either. my theory is its just damage limitation, similar to what england did with hargreaves. they gave him the man of the match in about 10 games and the fans love him now despite him being very average. so they claim shola's injured to get the fans off his back.

The sad truth of the matter is that if he wasn't carrying this so called hip injury he would still be total crap. I don't believe that the injury affects his performance on the pitch, he just suffers soreness afterwards. I can't remember how many starts he has had for us, must be 150 or something and out of those he hasn't had more than 5 decent games. 90% of his performances are just total shite and unacceptable but still we play him. Luque hasn't set the world alight after half a dozen starts so he's put out to graze. Something is very wrong somewhere

I think he is injured, the part why he plays is another thing. Why would Newcastle let him play? Because we GR has no choice. For him to fully recover from operation may take few months, Intertoto started not long after the WC and he was the only forward we had (OK also Luque). Why didn't we sign another striker and let him have the operation? Maybe GR was not allowed to get one and that was shortly after he accepted the job permanently. To let him play through pain is actually as shocking as to keep Luque and Rossi on the bench. Something is already wrong with the chairman, so it is not surprising if the manager and his staffs cant get it right.

At the end of the day Shola is a pile of old w@nk! There is nothing anyone on the planet can say to cover that fact up.

He may well have a dodgy hip, but it cant be that bad cause it would effect their incurance policy on him if they let him play injured every week.

My theroy which has been posted already is FFS is devaluing shares to buy more so he can claim a majority and then sell the club for a higher personal price at a later (soon) date.

GET SHOT OF SHOLA.

Lets all club together and get him a ticket to anywhere.

Isn't he our top scorer this season?

top scorer, what difference does that make to how sh1t he is.

Like bramble, he wont be going to another prem club when he eventually gets the boot.

We all get blinded by those occasional heavy footed sliding tackles that make us think hes got class, but shola has no class, skill, vision, talent....... etc etc nothing worthy of being a regular.

well, i believe he is injured and it affects his play negatively.  i also think that no time would've been too soon for him to have the necessary surgery.  do it right now!  but, i also think that shola believes his playing through the pain helps this club and that the coaching staff take advantage of him b/c of the number of strikers available.  there's a fine line between courageous and stupid...  they all are being stupid now.  if shola's so great, get him the surgery asap.  besides, it's not like his being gone will spoil a tremendous run of wins or anything.

The only "consipiracy" i can see at the moment is the one where people have to make endless shite threads trying to find more and more ways to have a go at Shola!

the best kind of piracy is consi piracy!  bluewink.gif

did i sound like i was having a go?  blueeek.gif  i didn't mean to!
