I've been thinking about this for a while and now I'm bored so here it goes. The question is, if cities were restricted to playing only players from their city (For London it would be split to North, South, East and West) who do you think would win? To make it a little fairer we should probably include Gateshead in ours

If it were us I think we'd struggle at the moment, but in the 90s we'd have probably been pretty good with this lot:

                        ?

Watson    ?            ?    Elliott

Waddle Clark Gascoigne Stone

          Beardsley Shearer

Subs: A young Michael Carrick,

Any others that could have played escape me.

I'd have Bryan Robson in for Clark.

So would I if he was from Newcastle, but he was born in Chester-Le-Street. Its my own fault, I should have called the thread 'City XI's'
