Guest Stephen927
Just seen Kalinic's name on the substitutes list, not like Allardyce to spend £6m on a player then barely play him.
Guest Stephen927
What a miss Joe Cole has been to the England set-up. He doesn't seem to get talked about as much as other English stars but he's probably the most skilful English footballer out there, he could easily be Brazilian. He's the same age as Carroll isn't he? It's not like he's at his peak or anything.

Guest Stephen927
Thats where he should be played every game, forget shifting him out to the wing, play him behind the forwards.
Segun Oluwaniyi
Thats where he should be played every game, forget shifting him out to the wing, play him behind the forwards. I don't think he does enough work to play in midfield for Chelsea.
Keefaz
Thats where he should be played every game, forget shifting him out to the wing, play him behind the forwards. Probably, but you've got Ballack, Lampard, Deco, etc. But he could really pull strings in there.

Ronaldo
Lampard, Ballack, Essien and Cole together will absolutely demolish teams.

Keefaz
Christ, Woodgate, man. Hang your legs up.
Guest Stephen927
The problem is he's not good enough to displace Lampard as the main attacking force in midfield, so he'll nearly always get played either side of the diamonds tip. Still a very good player working the flanks mind.

It's fairly easy for teams to defend against him in this league. If you put any sort of pressure on him he doesn't get the time to influence a game like he likes to. Shame because I think technically he also is a cracking player, the game just passes him by all too easily.
Keefaz
Joe Cole can do his job with his eyes closed, tbh.
