Wor Sir Bobby (Coming Home)

Following the passing away of Sir Bobby Robson on the 31st July, NightOwls host Alan Robson MBE felt compelled to pen a tribute to sum up the emotion felt by the adoring North East public. Set to the tune of “Coming Home Newcastle”, the classic track written by Geordie folklore hero Ronnie Lambert, Sir Bobby’s incredible life is chronicled in a touching tribute that is sure to play on the heartstrings of the region that loved him so.

The track will be available for download through iTunes from as soon as possible (link to follow) and then in CD format from Kaffeccinos Coffee House on Grainger Street (next to Pizza Hut) from the end of the week!

All profits from the track will be shared between The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and Metro Radio’s Cash for Kids; two local charities with the sole purpose of helping people in the North East.

Thank you very much indeed for your support in remembering this great man and raising money for two causes always close to his heart.

maybe be awful to hear but the end of the day the money goes to two very worthwhile charities.

Aye, it sounds awful but for some reason Alan Robson has many fans and listeners who will buy this with the money going to two very worthwhile charities as you said.
