Danny Simpson (now retired)

Recommended Posts

Simpson is pretty clearly the victim of confirmation bias in that people only watch for the mistakes he makes. And then those mistakes are magnified because of their opinion of him. Rarely does he get credit for the positive things he does (which he does do).

He is poor. Its the lack of pace and absolute zero recovery when beaten by his man. You are right about him doing good things.

Hitler did good stuff to, gets rather overlooked somewhat though.

Still a fecking lunatic murdering headcase to put it midly.

That's like the (no homo) tag people use to protect themselves from gay things they say.

"Hey bro, no homo buuuut I love me a dick up the shoot."

That analogy is a combination of :serious: and

Mind-numbingly awful.

Why thanks, thanks for not realising it was a bit of fun and just a joke, that has run well i thought.

Thanks for contribution to it ;)

 Please, you made an awful analogy in all sincerity and are now trying to play it off like you were taking the piss. The last two pages have been hilarious because they're mocking what you said.

Have you ever come across me before ?. Never said anything with sincerity, as for mocking, haha thats something of a hazard on here like.

Now Mr Grumpy come into my orifice and have a nice cup of cheering up juice. Um bongo it is this evening.

I tend to go for who pays the most, which sadly means hands against the alley wall.

I've not hit the manwhore stage yet.

Surely the habit Simpson has of backing off will have been picked up on in training, maybe it's instructions from Pardew to do that.

I think Simpson is getting a lot of unfair stick on here when he had no cover whatsoever off HBA.

Santon got caught a few times upfield on the other flank as well and had no cover at all in the 2nd half whereas Jonas was covering him in the 1st.

Am sure Lennon crossed to Bale from the left.

Lennon beats Santon for Bale header beating Simpson = focus on Simpson

Lennon beats Simpson for Defoe header beating Santon = focus on Simpson

Just let them get on with it. They aren't going to change their opinion. Santon is god and Simpson is the devil. Fans can't see another bad player in the team but we must have someone shit on the pitch to moan at, so Simpson it is.

I think blaming Simpson for the Bale header is a bit much. I mean, how often to Lennon's crosses ever get that much air under them? The bloke's a grass cutter specialist and Simpson was well placed if a ball was put in along the floor which is what i would have expected. He floated one in (rare) and it was a good ball tbh. It happens.
