AyeDubbleYoo
Should Mike Ashley do the unlikely and give us the money to spend... i'd love to see Hangeland alongside Colo. That would free up Taylor as a cover for both centre half and right back. That would be amazing.
STM
Aye unlikely though. Would be the perfect combination.

Delima
Hanngelaand hasn't really performed well though this season. How much would we pay for him, n would filial accept the bid ??
Colocho
So ... Simpson as RB (with Saylor as cover) Coloccini and at CB (with Saylor and Williamson as cover) and Enrique at LB (with Kadar as LB/CB cover). Sounds too good to be true.
AyeDubbleYoo
I'm pretty sure he's not for sale at any price. So £35m should do the trick.

That would be the going rate for a player of his quality IMO but after recent transfers who knows? Certainly worth that if we were prepared to bid 13m for N'Zogbia. STM
In all seriousness it's what we should be looking to do. If Samba had not signed a new deal, he would be on the "list" too. Might have his head turned if a bid was put in though.
Benwell Lad
But Williamson has consistently been the weak link in our defence this season. Without exaggerating, I honestly think he is responsible for at least 10 goals being conceded this season. In this league, he's average at best. Notwithstanding the 2nd half Saturday when he was excellent, I'd say Danny Simpson has been our weakest defender overall but seems to be flavour of the month with many. Enrique who does many things brilliantly and has awesome power and pace has arguably made the most defensive mistakes this season but has the near legendary status that makes them easily forgotten. Williamson has made a goal saving last ditch tackle in both of the last games and at 6'4" he's going to be very handy in some of the away games coming up. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for improving the squad when we can but good centre halfs don't grow on trees and until we are guaranteed a better option I think Williamson is doing just fine. I'd make full backs or full back cover our defensive priority.

The new deal might just be to protect his resale value TBH, contracts don't mean much if you can afford the asking price and the players wants out. Not sure how good Samba actually is mind, he looks a beasy but I haven't seen him play many full 90s.

Hanshithispantz
Samba is certainly an upgrade on Williamson and would be an ideal partener for Colo, would be a huge threat from Joey's set pieces aswell. Would prefer Haangleand (sp) though, although we'd never probably get him.

Hanshithispantz
Enrique has made 2 mistakes that have led to goals iirc, one against Man U and one against Fulham, cerainly more than made uo for them with the ammount of times he's completely shut the right winger out of the game. Yep, the question is whether he wants to stay or whether Blackburn just want to protect his resale value. I don't think he's a realistic target TBF, unless Blackburn go down. Hanshithispantz
Samba has 13 goals in about 130 appearances for Blackburn, pretty good return from a centre back that.
Guest Tdeans
Gotta say this talk of having Hangleland with Colcocinni is making me foam at the mouth. This would be a BRILLIANT signing. Make up for all those years watching Bramble and Boumbsong.
Delima
To be honest I think 10M for him is a bit expensive. Vidic Smalling Skrtel Vermaelen Koscielny Alex Ivanovic Kompany Hangelaand Samba Cahill Bassong Jagielka Heitinga Johnson Dann All of these (maybe a few errors) are cheaper than 10M. I know they are not traded this year but the Market has been a bit flat. In my opinion we should buy a top young championsip defender instead. Top young championship defenders have a good historical track record to do well in the premiership. And they normally cost between 5M to 10M. Affordable n reliable
AyeDubbleYoo
Only drawback is that Hangeland is 30 this year (also that he won't be for sale). I think we'll be more likely to make the kind of signing Delima mentions... a younger and cheaper defender but hopefully with good potential to step up.
