What this business about Chopra at the Palace game?

No one should be spat at in that manner especially one of our own, the story was that the lad asked to have a photo taking with him but the phone was on video and the prat started slagging him off about his scum career, when Chopra tried to move on the lad locked his arm on his neck and spat in his face, a scuffle persued and Chopra cracked the lad..

Good on him, he is always at home games/some away when they don't conflict, often sits in amongst players who arent taking part, he showed his true side when he scuffed that chance and almost certainly kissed goodbye to a premiership career by doing so as he never played in red and white again.

He might well come up here with a point to prove depending on how he took the insult.

I have a relative that is doing fantastic at the mackems academy, his dad is an all out geordie, should he halt his sons progress because it's the mackems that gave him the break and not our academy ? Not a chance and I would hate to think any father would.

Chopra's a little arsehole though.

S'true.

Makes no odds, he shouldn't be expected to put up with some knobhead spitting in his face.

Do we think he missed that chance on purpose?

Without a doubt, as did his current manager at the time ohhh aswell as a few thousand mackems :iamatwat: Ronaldo you know as well as anyone that the lad would have planted that goal one on one, or at least placed it across goal as he had a man to his right.

it was more he bottled the chance to score but then hit a ridiculous over hit pass to the back post when all he had to do was roll it across the 6 yard box to give someone running in an open goal tap in and win the match.

It might have just been his shitness, but the precision in which he fucked it up was what makes it seem like he did it on purpose. There's no way anyone could over hit a pass by that much.

Always seemed a little odd to me that Bobby never gave him a go but persevered with Shola and brought in Bridges. Especially odd considering Bobby's proclivity for poachers. He really must have seen absolutely nowt in him.

I know of several promising bairns that Newcastle didn't even consider who are doing canny at the AOL. They seem to look a lot more promising at Youth Level.

Fair play to Chopra, again goes to show how fucking stupid a fair number of our fans seem to be. Reading stuff like this always makes me cringe. And to be fair, there's a number of supporters at a number of other clubs (Man Utd fans throwing bottles at Bellamy etc) who manage to show what utter cretins they are week in week out.
