Defenders get all the clean sheet points. Midfielders get 1 point for a clean sheet, whether they're a Tiote or a Ben Arfa. Aside from that, midfield scoring comes from goals and assists. The bonus system is also hugely biased in terms of attacking play. If 3 players on the pitch have got a goal or assist he won't get a look in bonus points-wise.
