Moussa 'not ex-Liverpool player Mohammed' Sissoko

Pardew, who returned from holiday today, knows all about the midfielder after scouting Toulouse last season when running the rule over Cheikh M’Bengue, but a United source said today: “There have been no discussions or talks with any of Sissoko’s representatives. It is merely agent talk.”

This strikes me as exactly what Pardieu would say if we were interested in him.

What would he say if he wasn't interested?

Newcastle United are not in talks to sign Toulouse ace Moussa Sissoko, skysports.com can confirm.

The highly-rated 21-year-old midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to England this summer.

One of his agents was quoted as suggesting that Liverpool and Newcastle were in talks about a deal.

But skysports.com can confirm a deal is not being discussed by Premier League club Newcastle.

Sources close to the club have told us that there is 'no truth' in the claims that they are looking to sign him.
