NUFC transfer rumours in the press

From my point of view and from the little I've seen of Liverpool he is definitely imposing his style of play into the club. They have been passing the ball around quite nicely and aren't exactly as direct as I'd expect them to be.

They're not even going to be in Europe next season and crashed out of every cup competition.

Imposing his 'style' is just Liverpool speak for what has been an abysmal season for them, worse than those under Rafa or Dalglish.

You're aware that they are 3p away from their total point tally last season?

I'm aware that they will almost certainly fail to qualify for Europe, and are doing so despite having the freedom of also failing in every cup competition.

Oh most definitely but like I said, they are still in a transition phase and while I fucking despise the club almost as much as Sunderland (since I don't get this rivalry that you living in Newcastle do) I can't say this season has been worse than others for them. In my opinion they are on the right track, under Dalglish they were horrible and if Rodgers can limit making terrible signing at high cost like he did in the summer and if he can keep hold of Agger and Suarez I see no reason to not believe they will be competing with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham in two years time. Their biggest problem is incosistency at the moment.

And spending £20m on 2 attacking players.

He's been given free reign in the transfer market, more than £40 million on Coutinho, Sturridge, Borini and Allen.

I really don't see a great deal of difference between Liverpool this year and last year football wise.

The main difference is Suarez is getting into more goalscoring positions.

Which isn't a surprise as he played on the wing a lot last year.

I would say the main difference is Suarez's finishing. Last year his conversion rate was something like 9%, the lowest out of every striker with 10 or more goals. The ongoing moan about Liverpool under Dalglish was them constantly hitting the woodwork (i.e., missing the target). On last year's form, there was nothing to suggest Suarez could be top goalscorer in the Premiership this year. That he is has been a massive lucky break for Brenda. With him on last season's form, Carroll shipped out before Brenda gave him any kind of chance (shades of Allardyce and Scott Parker), and Boroni as their only other striker from August to January, they'd be in a similar position to us.

I've heard great things about his team mate Aymen Abdennour. Young, talented, plays centre-back....wouldn't be surprised if he was on our shortlist.

Its funny you say that because we have been linked with him over the last 6 weeks, he's basically the rock at the back for Toulouse.

If we get him on top of Sissoko already here they will hate us
