Guest firetotheworks
Why do people use the pitch for offside decisions? Do the grass cutters use 40 yard set squares like?
Lotus
Why do people use the pitch for offside decisions? Do the grass cutters use 40 yard set squares like? They use chalk lines. The ones they use to mark carpet before they cut that. Pretty accurate tbh.
cp40
Why do people use the pitch for offside decisions? Do the grass cutters use 40 yard set squares like? no, they have very good mowers that can be locked to go forward at right angles to the side of the pitch. WarrenBartonCentrePartin
It'd be miles easier if every defender just did an Andy O'Brien and ran around for 90 minutes with one arm in the air appealing.
buzza
He has to be in front of the ball to be offside, clearly not if you look at the grass cutting lines... Think people are getting confused with the two players being "in line" or not, when in reality it is the ball and the "offside" player in question. Not even worth the three pages or so of twaddle
ujpest doza
Too close to call i think and i think the linesman would have flagged had he touched the ball.
alexf
Love it when people get arrogant that they're right only for someone like dave to pop up with some evidence to prove otherwise
