They use chalk lines. The ones they use to mark carpet before they cut that. Pretty accurate tbh.

no, they have very good mowers that can be locked to go forward at right angles to the side of the pitch.

It'd be miles easier if every defender just did an Andy O'Brien and ran around for 90 minutes with one arm in the air appealing.

He has to be in front of the ball to be offside, clearly not if you look at the grass cutting lines...

Think people are getting confused with the two players being "in line" or not, when in reality it is the ball and the "offside" player in question.
