Good game from Carvajal. Takes a dump all over Danilo.

Sorry, but both are absolute s***. There's no way any of them takes a dump over the other. Probably Carvajals best game this season.

There's no huge difference but the money spent on Danilo, you'd expect a big upgrade. He isn't.

Absolutely. But nemtizz made it look like he's twice the player that Danilo is which isn't true. Didn't Rafa start Lucas as RB and Arbeloa as well this season? Not sure, but do htink they've had four different RBs this season which says it all.

Because Carvajal was injured, aye.

Fair enough. Genuine question, do you rate Carvajal?

For those who follow Spanish football, what exactly was Rafa doing wrong? Team selections? Too defensive?

Boring football. Results just weren't good enough considering the help from refs and their squad.

Bad performances more than anything. Never fluid in attack and always susceptible to conceding against decent teams. Only had 18 or so matches but not a single win or performance of note against good opposition. And generally looking cumbersome against weaker opposition.

Big fan of James. A top, top player and a handsome little fella to boot. A superior footballer to Isco in almost every way. Even in a midfield 3 I prefer him. His appreciation of the game and space is brilliant. IMO tactically James is much more flexible and appreciates position and team mates more than Isco. Isco takes too long to pass the ball and has less ability and imagination on the ball.

Isco's still pretty much a "free" player. A #10 or someone you just let do whatever he wants. For me, the teams more fluid and fast paced with the ball when James is in the team. IMO there's only a handful of players in the  world that are better overall footballers than James. Isco isn't one of them. At any position or this Real team James >
