On Friday morning, a source close to Mike Ashley told SSN:" We are not aware of any bid that doesn't contain relegation clauses and we are not considering any further talks with PCP Capital Partners.

"Our sole focus is to support Rafa Benitez in the current transfer market with all the resources at our disposal."

Wow

I thought the fat cunt said there were "no bids at all" never mind with relegation clauses. Tripping yourself up again Mike with your own lies.

Literally fuming having read Mandy's interview. 3 fucking bids, 1 as high as 350 mil and the fat cunt turned it down.

Horrible fucking bloke.

Just read the article (cheers TheHoob for posting it).

Can't really add to whats been said since. She comes across very professional, unlike the incumbant she's trying to deal with.

Each offer seems entirely reasonable, and she/they have clearly called Ashleys bluff in actually submitting them, and he's just gonna keep moving the goalposts until/unless he gets a ridiculous offer he cant refuse, which he won't.

Fan pressure wont happen while Rafa is still here (IMO), so we can only hope the media (some of which are in his corner) start cranking up the pressure on him. He can be pressured by them. remember when he said he wouldn't attend the parliament committee thing, then he eventually did?

Staveley still wants to buy us, but Ashleys stance of seemingly dismissing offers, even when they meet his criteria means maybe its all just a big game to him.

It wasn't really £350m if £50m was dependent on us getting CL football, something that was by no means guaranteed. Still though, what was on the table was surely a good starting point for negotiation? We're seeing more and more evidence that this is all a ploy by Ashley to not invest in the team in the transfer market, and no doubt when he can be arsed again we'll hear that no one was interested in the club and it's back off the market. Fuck knows who'll be managing us and what league we'll be in at that point.

If he’s been ignoring the fucking bids, man, Christ.

It’s all fun and games withis cunt, isn’t it? I’m astonished he’s been able to bully his way to making such a fortune. He absolutely no professionalism about him at all.

£250m, plus two lots of £50 the next two years with no clauses. She's going to have to go over what she wants and take a bit of a gamble herself. That would surely secure it?

He’s the one wasting her time.

He clearly doesn’t want to sell. If he did and there’s been three bids, surely you’d reject whatever you didn’t think was appropriate but immediately offer to negotiate.

Hopefully that's what he's doing, in his own cuntish kind of way.

Despite the war of words and crap flying round the situation seems pretty straght forward.

Ashley wants £350m (no clauses etc).  He feels justified as he invested £236m and IHO the club is in a stable financial situation now.

PCP value club at £250m.  As ITO the club needs £100m investment on top to make up for lack of investment in training ground and squad.

We all have our opinions on who is right.

Neither side wants to move and PCP’s funding may or may not still be in place now (Reubens family quotes)

None of the bid met the fat c***s 300m asking price.

2nd one does but it might be too long of a time frame for him. But then he has the added bonus of another £50m if we finish in the top 4.

The second bid also has a relegation clause, amount unknown. The 50m bonus better just be ignored.

Timeframe is a problem when the financial backing of your counterpart is kinda unknown.

I am not supporting the fat cunt but I am not impressed by Amanda either. The complexity in ownership and source of funding could be very troublesome in the future.

a) I’d have thought someone used to dealing with huge wealth like PCP would have contingencies, contracts etc to clearly say who’d be in control and stop whoever is funding this from saying ‘Nah, you’re alright Mands. We’ve had enough”

b) No doubt Ashley’s lawyers would have asked for, and been told (to an extent), where the money was coming from.

If the club is in such financial stable condition, how come Rafa hasn't got a pot to piss in?

Also, time to stop calling SSN when you're pissed Mike and get an actual statement out.

$shley won't deal with pcp any more, so the deal is dead.

After the first bid I’d imagine Ashley wasn’t too impressed with the other 2 bids. He wants £350M, PCP’s one bid that would reach that is too loaded. You’d like to think that a bid of around £325M with no clauses, perhaps made in say 2 instalments, might do the trick.

The new TV deal could move the goal posts altogether and PCP would be aware that this was around the corner. It is a little disappointing that they haven’t been prepared to meet Ashley nearer to his valuation. I can see why Ashley thinks they are pissing around.
