ElDiablo
Did he pretend it was in his pocket or was he so out of it he thought he had it in his hand? I prefer the latter scenario.

Nobby
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Charles After the end of his playing career, Charles was twice imprisoned — first for drunken driving and soon afterwards for cutting off his electronic tag to go on holiday to the Costa del Sol. In September 2005, he was arrested and convicted for assaulting a woman in a taxi office in Clay Cross, north east Derbyshire. After the jury was unable to reach a verdict, a retrial was ordered. Between the trials Charles was jailed for turning up to court drunk At the later hearing, he admitted he had an on-going drink problem. He was subsequently fined and given a suspended sentence and a community service order. Charles was jailed for 12 months in December 2006 after committing a public order offence whilst serving his suspended sentence. Charles is in the process of writing his autobiography

Kitman
He was the bloke Gazza ruptured his cruciate on in 91 Cup Final. IIRC this fella was found by the police in a hire car that he'd driven into a barrier on a motorway slip road. He was passed out drunk having consumed a bottle of vodka, although he had managed to have a dump on the back seat and smeared his shit over the seats. And I'm not making this up, it's true http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/low/england/derbyshire/3324641.stm Not a man to cadge a lift off bluebiggrin.gif

brummie
Shocking! That he has two England caps that is. In fairness, he was a decent player for us. However, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Charles tells us the following: 2000 Birmingham City (loan) 3 (0) So he's already hit rock bottom a few years ago. Although it was a tongue-in-cheek comment. He was a good player at Forest too.

Seriously, though, its a shame to see a former player sink to such levels (the prison thing, not the Blose thing, obv). He was what you'd call "an honest pro" by and large. Kept his head down, did a good job.
