marko1892 Posted December 28, 2006 Share Posted December 28, 2006 1) NUFC Player of 2006 Shay Given, Has kept us in games and been playing at a constant level unlike a lot of United players. 2) NUFC Young Player of 2006 Steven Taylor, Has gone about his business quietly yet confidently and effectively. 3) Best game of 2006 Sunderland 1-4 Newcastle United. For Obvious reasons! 4) Worst game of 2006 Manchester City 3-0 Newcastle United. Was Souness' final game in charge of the team but the way the lads played that night more or less summed up what our club had became. We had gone from a top 6 club to a club playing poor unnatractive football. 5) Best NUFC Goal of 2006 Scott Parker v Charlton. Scott was getting booed everytime he touched the ball from the Charlton fans but his fantastic strike shut them up 6) Best goal conceded in 2006 not sure really... 7) Favourite Alan Shearer moment of 2006 Scoring a penalty against Sunderland in the 4-1 win. It was fitting that it was his last competitive goal.
