Fabregas, Alonso, Inzaghi, Mancini... if I had to choose I'd go with Fabregas or Mancini.

Inzaghi is excellent but he doesn't know the PL like the other two and plays with a system no one uses in the PL, which could be a positive thing but it's risky.

Alonso did great things with Levrkusen but the way he tactically faced Gasperini in the Europa League final leaves me with some doubts.

There needs to be a mentality shift if people are so anxious thinking about an upcoming manager/player coming here, incase they do well and end up leaving.

Some of our fans are like a paranoid guy constantly on the edge because they think they’re punching above their weight with a lass.

Individuals will come and go. The progress of the club is all that matters.

With this season review coming up, does anyone believe we have actually explored alternatives or would the board keep Howe on because it's the easy option?

I ask because they seemed quite happy to muddle on with Eales as CEO even though he was seriously ill, and in the end had to stand down voluntarily.

Only way he goes is:

a) He walks.

b) Slopkinson gets narked at £25m-£30m being pissed away in PL placing revenue due to us tanking the end of the season.

As a striker he could still do well and steal Wissa's place... jokes aside, Pippo Inzaghi is a case that should be studied in universities.

I loved his celebration, no matter the oponent or if it was the 10-0 goal he celebrated like he just scored the winner in a world cup final. Epic player

Exactly!!

He was a striker with no technique, no physical strength, no dribbling skills, and often in offside. BUT...when the ball was in the box you knew he'd somehow get to it before anyone else, and he was lethal at that.

Pure goal instinct.

If they haven’t been exploring alternatives, then they should have been. That should be a constant regardless of how we’re doing.

Tbf, they might well have been.

I agree, the job of any CEO should be to ensure everything is in place to keep the club progressing, and the job of any DOF should be to build a playing staff that should be ready for a change in coaching with a minimum of disruption should a manager need to be replaced when it's decided it's not working.

It's just that I'm not that sure we have the right men in place to carry out those plans. Hopkinson seems a commercial expert, and Wilson was Howe's recommendation from the rumours at the time of his appointment.
