It won't be long before FIFA rule all fans must be behind netting. Sevilla coach Juande Ramos has been discharged from hospital after spending the night under observation. Ramos was taken to the Clinica Sagrado Corazon de Sevilla having been hit on the head by a bottle thrown from the crowd during his side's abandoned Copa del Rey clash with local rivals Real Betis. The Sevilla boss was hit by the bottle shortly after celebrating Fredi Kanoute's 56th minute goal at the Estado Ruiz de Lopera which gave the visitors a 1-0 lead in the tie. He was stretchered away from the pitch having lost consciousness (pictured) and taken to a local hospital for precautionary tests. He had regained consciousness by the time he left the stadium, but was kept in hospital overnight where he was visited by Betis president Pepe Leon. Doctors confirmed on Thursday morning that Ramos had "no neurological problems" and he attended his players' training session having been released. Ramos cut a dignified figure when questioned about Wednesday night's events and, having admitted he could remember nothing that happened after the half-time interval, insisted he bore no grudge toward Betis or their fans. "These are the things that happen when a game hots up," he stated. "The Betis fans are not represented by the cruel person who threw the bottle." Meanwhile, Betis have opened an investigation into the bottle-throwing incident and have pledged to ban the culprit from their stadium as and when they identify them.
