I take all opinions on this NEWCASTLE forum seriosuly, but when they come from Spurs fans, then my ignorance tends to get in the way. Sorry.
Howaythelads
Strong rumours that he will be forced to retire aged just 26. I don't particularly rate him (he's good don't get me wrong, just not as good as the media like to tell us he is), but that's sad news if it's true. Couldn't give a toss, actually. Martin Lol
that rumour has been doing the rounds for a while now and is absolute bullshit. Not bullshit that rumour has been doing the rounds for a while now and is absolute bullshit. some of the responses on here is quite sad actually Taken from another forum. Yep, King will retire prematurely. He has a degenerative hip and knee problem and will probably last another 18 months - 2 years. The current injury is unrelated directly and may actually prolonge his career a further 6 months or so as he has missed football since xmas and has had a sustained rest. Spurs have been in negotiations with their insurers to see if they will be entitled to any pay off should he retire before his contract runs out (which he more than likely will). He will be able to continue playing for next 2 years or so but much like Tony Adams did in his last years will not be able to play consecutive matches and would not be able to train the day after a game. Sad news for Spurs and England. Pretty accurate. The hip is less of a concern than the knee. The hope is that it can be managed like Paul McGrath managed his dodgy knees but there's no great optimism. But as others have said, he's enjoyed some highs in his career and earned a lot of money in that time. Whilst I have sympathy for Ledders, I've got more sympathy for Dorian Dervite who was better than Ledley at the same age, is having his knee rebuilt following a bad cruciate and it's only 50/50 whether he plays again. He hasn't had any career nor the money to fall back on either.

Not sure about Owen but I clearly remember a 4 page thread of people posting laughing smilies when it looked like Martins injured his knee in his first game for us against Villa. The College Dropout
I actually feel quit bad for King. It's a shame for him personally, he could've lead Spurs to great success and had the ability to play at a very high level. And compared to alotta his colleagues he seemed a nice lad. Guest optimistic nit
that rumour has been doing the rounds for a while now and is absolute bullshit. some of the responses on here is quite sad actually well to be honest its sad for king but i'll be losing no sleep over it. spurs fans can be right cunts at times and its not as though he's got cancer or something, he will retire early and rich. I'd rather have sympathy for the lua lua and babayaro's of this world, and say the people currently residing in iraq than leadly king tbh.

Guest elbee909
wasnt there a rumour about dyer being forced to retire because of illness/injury? Yeah, his arse falling off or something, and combining with Des Hamilton's arse to form one massive arse akin to a black hole. A brown hole I guess.
