Barrel Boy hasn't been all that bad over previous seasons but as time has gone on he has got bigger and bigger and bigger, and he gets more and more injuries. His current technique on the pitch is to put his head down and run directly at the nearest opposition player, a bit like a charging bull, thats with or without the ball. Clearly in a defensive context that results in free kicks in very dangerous positions, when attacking this generally means a 6 year old could take the ball off him. Once he has lost the ball he is so slow that the other team break and he can't get back into position. He doesn't seem to be able to do anything but winge at everything on the pitch, and his insulting gestures to the crowd vs Sheff Utd just capped off my frustrations with him.

Once a decent player, now a shadow of his former self and a total waste of space intent on picking up huge wages for doing buggar all. It's a shame because this is a trend that seems rife with our club....

He's just utterly frustrating, KD, after how good he used to be for your lot.

He's always injured, he's lost most of his pace, he's doubled in size, his arrival coincided with our dimmest stage for a while (obviously not entirely his fault, like!), he makes numerous dodgy decisions on the field, has been culpable for numerous goals this season, never seems too arsed to be playing for us, he made dodgy gestures at the East Stand against Sheffield United.... he was apparently trying to engineer moves back South (to Spurs in particular) over the summer, etc.

Just nowhere near good enough for a Premiership fullback.

Fair enough.
