Experience the thrill of walking out onto the pitch in one of the most magnificent stadiums in the premiership where previous legends like Alan Shearer, Malcolm Macdonald, Jackie Milburn, Pedro & Bez have all played. All you have to do is order the New Newcastle United home shirt from midday on Friday, March 23 at www.nufc.co.uk or on 0870 442 1892 (Order by 20th April 2007 for Kit Launch Day delivery, terms & conditions apply) or purchase from any of the Official Club Stores from Launch Day Wednesday 2nd May to Sunday 6th May 2007, answer the question and tie breaker and you could be one of the team playing on Saturday 12th May 2007. Competition Rules 1. The Competition The competition will run from 23 March 2007 (the "Start Date"), when pre-orders for the Newcastle United first team home shirt for 2007/9 ("the Shirt") will be accepted online with NUFC Direct, until close of business on Sunday 6th May.All entries must be completed and received by this date. 2. The Promoter The promoter is Newcastle United Football Company Limited whose registered office is at St James Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4ST ("NUFC") (please do not send entries to this address). 3.To enter and Validity To enter the competition you must purchase the Shirt from an official Newcastle United club store or from NUFC Direct. Purchases in store: On purchasing a Shirt in store you will receive a competition post card entry form. Please complete the form as instructed and return it to the official Newcastle United club store, ensuring your receipt number has been included in the appropriate place. Purchases online: On placing an order online you will receive an emailed confirmation, usually within 1 hour of placing the order. Please ensure that your email address and telephone number as shown on the confirmation are correct.The confirmation email will feature a link to click to enter the competition.Please enter your order number in the title box. Your data will be checked and if you have ordered the new home kit your entry will be accepted (subject to these Rules). Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed in any way. Correspondence will be entered into only at the absolute discretion of NUFC. 4. Winner announcement The name of the winners will be announced on www.nufc.co.uk on Tuesday 10th May and the winners will be notified personally as soon as practicable either before or after this date. 5. Eligibility The competition is open to all United Kingdom residents, aged 7 years or over on Saturday 12th May 2007, except those who at any time between the Start Date and the date on which the winner is selected (inclusive) are employees of NUFC, any of its wholly owned subsidiaries or any marketing services agency, handling house or other company involved directly with the administration of this competition, or any member of their households. The winners must be available to be at St James Park at 9am Saturday 12th May. Late arrival may invalidate your participation in the prize. The prize involves vigorous physical activity and you should not participate against medical advice or if you are unfit or unwell.NUFC reserves the right to prevent a prize winner from taking part in the games where it reasonably considers the winner would be at risk of injury or ill health due to their participation in the prize events. NUFC will not bear any costs for transport or accommodation in relation to this prize. 6. To win Winners in each of the categories set out in Rule 7 will be entrants who have correctly answered the question "In which year was Newcastle United formed?" and, in the opinion of the judges, completed the sentence "I want to play at St James' Park because?" in 15 words or less in the most apt, witty and amusing way.The decision of the judges shall be final. 7. The prize There will be two events played on Saturday 12th May 2007 at St James' Park. Event 1 (11.00am kick off) There will be 4 separate games played simultaneously on each quarter of the pitch each one lasting 30 minutes: · Women(5-a -side) age 16+ · Children aged 7-9years (5 -a -side) · Children aged 10-12 years (5-a-side) · Children aged 13-15 years (5-a-side) Each of these matches will be played between squads of seven players with a maximum of five players from each squad on the pitch at any time. Event 2(13.00 kick off) 1 game on the full pitch lasting 60 minutes: · Adult men (11 a-side) age 16+ This match will be between two squads of 16 players, with a maximum of 11 players from each squad on the pitch at any time. NUFC shall determine the players of each squad, the players who are on the pitch at any time and the substitutions. Each squad will be drawn from winners of this competition together with winners of other competitions run by NUFC and selected other organisations. The prizes cannot be redeemed for cash and are non-returnable prizes. NUFC reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the events in the event of adverse weather conditions or other circumstances outside NUFC's control. 8. Winner publicity Entrants accept that, if they win, NUFC will have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use their name, age, town of residence and likeness for the purposes of announcing the winners of this competition and for related promotional purposes. 9. Entries Only one entry per valid purchase. All entries will become the property of NUFC on its receipt of them and will not be returned. Entrants hereby assign to NUFC all worldwide copyright and like rights in their entries and waive all moral rights. 10.
