Guest M.J
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is stepping up his bid for Newcastle United captain Scott Parker. The People says Wenger is willing to offer Gilberto Silva to Toon boss Glenn Roeder in a straight swap. And Brazil star Gilberto would be interested in a move north, because Arsenal are only willing to offer him a one-year extension to his current deal as part of Wenger's over-30s policy. Roeder, on the other hand, would stump up a three-year contract for the 30-year-old World Cup-winner. And Wenger would be willing to part with around £8million - which would include Gilberto - to sign the England international. tribalfooball.com - what's your idea, mates? Guest nameless
Roeder has been adamant about not signing older players so why would he want to sign a 30 year old on a 3 year contract?

Guest Invicta_Toon
if true, bite their fuckin hands off if true, why do you think Wenger thinks this is a good deal? Bearing in mind Wenger's astuteness in never letting a good player go, and never buying a crap player, as is the subject of many a jizzfest on here

gray
where exactly does "spinning around disco style" fit into arsenals game tactics?

Disco
Be a terrible move for Arsenal given that Gilberto is captain often enough and very rarely misses games (injured or rested)
Lemmy
Disturbing image presented by this headline on the matter http://www.newcastle.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=61358
thedudeabides
where exactly does "spinning around disco style" fit into arsenals game tactics? He wouldn't have to, as there is loads of movement and therefore plenty of passing options in the Arsenal side............unlike ours, which looks like a sculpture garden whenever one of the cenral midfielders gets the ball. Spot on. Although I have my doubts about the story having any truth in it.
