Can't see any manager NOT wanting to play in this tbh. Anyhoo we've only been invited because the big 4 are doing other things.

Hopefully we end up going ahead with the tournament, it might actually contribute to a decent pre-season for a change.

Just been into the Box Office and they said it's not confirmed we're entering it.

It's pretty strange Sky are showing adverts stating we're in it when there's nowt official from the club. Hopefully it's just a matter of Allardyce giving it the go ahead.

That's just so the natives will buy tickets for the big Ajax v Arsenal clash...then about 2 weeks before hand they'll say "sorry, Arsenal are busy, here's Newcastle for you".

I would buy tickets for Newcastle, not for Wengers French speaking side.

AC Milan are also playing in the Emirates Cup at Arsenal the week before so would seriously doubt Arsenal would play Milan twice in a week.

Too bad it's Inter Milan...

Saturday 28th July 2007

Inter Milan v Hamburg (2pm)

Arsenal v PSG (4.15pm)

Sunday 29th July 2007

PSG v Hamburg (2pm)

Arsenal v Inter Milan (4.15pm)

Even so, can't see Arsenal wanting to play 4 games in a week, a week before the prem kicks off.

AC Milan are apparently the Italian side

Then surely they can't have us in it as well? The European Champions and, erm, the 13th placed team in England!

Arsenal have been confirmed as one of the sides who will play in the prestigious Amsterdam Tournament this summer.

The four-team tournament played at the home of Dutch titans Ajax is one of the most high-profile of the pre-season competitions.

Manchester United won the eighth edition of the tournament last summer, but it is Arsene Wenger's Arsenal who will represent the Premiership this year.

Italian outfit Lazio and Spanish side Atletico Madrid make up the competition which will take place at the start of August.

"Ajax first plays Atletico Madrid (on 2nd August) and on Saturday (4th August) the Dutch Cup winners will encounter Arsenal in the Amsterdam ArenA," read a statement on Ajax's official website.
